• Big Change in the Weather!! fuzzy_dogs_mom Posted : 9/8/2006 6:11:28 PM I went outside about 8:30 a.m. and it was actually COLD.  I had to run back in and put on socks and real shoes and grab a sweatshirt.  I haven't worn socks or a sweatshirt since April! In the morning it is FREEZING. I walk to the bus stop (which is not close to my house) at 6:15 in the morning, even wearing sweatshirt & jeans I'm still really cold. • glenmar Posted : 9/9/2006 7:20:23 AM And soon we'll all be complaining about how blasted cold it is and how much snow we're getting!   But, I agree.  Fall is a wonderful time of the year!  In August we had some REALLY cold and wet days and I remembering wondering if I'd overslept and woke up in October!  But, now, well now it's lovely.  We're getting sunshiney days, but temps that are far more tolerable.   And I of course am doing my typical "storing nuts for the winter" thing with canning and freezing and soon it'll be off to pick apples and pears.  I love spring for the rebirth of everything, and I love fall for the cool, crisp days and the harvest and the falling leaves. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. We think it's the rear main engine seal. So, I'll be driving my own truck more, for a while. I replaced the ac compressor in mine and it worked for a couple of weeks. Now, it won't hold a charge, again. I think the new compressor forced a leak somewhere else. • glenmar Posted : 9/9/2006 8:22:45 AM I wasn't surprised in the least, but by golly I sure felt VINDICATED when I heard that news.  That experience ranks up there with the worst experiences of my life.  I was truely afraid of the man and dang it, all I was doing was sitting in a snow bank in my OWN yard, unable to get up because my hip had gone out.  And when he DEMANDED that I get up and I reached for the shovel for support, he drew his weapon on me!  That's was horrifying!   A ticked off cop with a drawn weapon against a smallish woman in a snowbank.  And the SOB watched me CRAWL to my van so I could pull myself up.  Sadistic F'er!! 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
