When we had a queen size bed, it was very tight for 3 of us. We're smallish people, but 130 pounds of dog stretched out between us meant that we each clung to the opposite edges of the mattress with about 2" of covers. After a few years of that, we got a king size bed, which was only slightly better. We slept in a capital "A" shape -- my husband and I trying to stay somewhat connected up by our pillows, but having to angle outwards so Tonka could stretch out at the lower end of the bed.
Did I get a sound night's sleep? Rarely. Did I get stiff muscles, a sore back, and the occasional bruise from being stepped on during "cirlcing" time? Yes. Do I sleep better now that he's at the Bridge and we have all kinds of room in the bed? Absolutely NOT. The favorite

art of our day was always when we'd all snuggle in and Tonka would give a huge sigh and start his nightly cacophony of snoring. I miss it terribly and now have many nights of tossing and turning.
P.S. - my2saints, I love that first photo of your husband being dwarfed by that big sweet pup! It looks like your husband is peeking out over a huge mountain he just climbed.
