Thanks I'm hoping she does well in Conf and I plan on showing her in Obed,Rally Weight pull and maybe agility.
She was given to me by her breeder and I told her she would be the most titled puppy she has bred. She is also a great snuggler.
Here she is playing with one of the Rottweilers Inga

    Rutylr,
I wish you much luck showing your dog in conformation, I would say you'll find it a tough battle sad to say but then again it all depends on where you are showing and to what judges...the color *should* be the last thing a judge considers but most times it isn't as the judges tend to have their preferences.
Please post LOTS of pictures and keep us updated on your showing, I can't wait to hear about your wins!!

    Trish,
The reason you haven't seen that color is because it is a tri-color, a color that has been discouraged over the years although the UKC standard does say any color, any pattern other then merle.
;Persoanlly I like the tri's and you better believe if you have one in a litter it IS the NICEST pup of the litter

beautiful, wow look at them feet!
    • Gold Top Dog
I had no idea that they even had a tri-color in the breed!  That pup is beautiful!!!  Please show more pics!  Jamie, do you ever have tri-colored pups in your litters?  I am amazed at that coloration!!!

Another question, do you have to crop the ears to show?
    • Gold Top Dog
No, no Tri's for me..it is not encouraged in AKC....

    Color
Any color, solid, parti, or patched is permissible, but all white, more than 80 per cent white, black and tan, and liver not to be encouraged

I have seen a few and they have been the best in the litter but I've not had enough *spirit* to attempt to show one as they are not a color to be rewarded and I wouldn't add it into my breeding program.

I would own one, if it was to be just a pet as I too do like the color/markings.

In UKC you can show natural or cropped and both dogs will get considered equally as long as the natural eared dogs ears are correct.

In AKC the natural ear is prefered in the standard BUT the judges seem to reward the dogs with cropped ears more

That is one beautiful dog, I love the color. Not liking those ears at all though.

She is not AKC just UKC so I don't see the color mattering too much.I myself as a ABPT Judge have put up this color because it was the best dog.
I will be going to shows and talking to Judges to see who does and does not like this color. That way when she is ready for the ring I will know it I should spend any money on that day or not.
I show the Rottweilers in UKC also and have been for over 10 years now.So while I'm there I will just ask,hey it can't hurt to ask.
Some people don't like the croped look I my self do.The Breeder gave her to me because she knows I will do Obed,Rally agility and Weight pull with her.

That is one gorgeous puppers!  Of course my heart stopped when I saw her pic not only because she's beautiful, but also because I had visions of a 60 pound tri-ing badsenjis.  And if you've ever had a 25 pound tri-ing basenji, you'll know a 60 pound tri-ing basenji is enough to give anyone pause (and panic).  I hope tri-ing pitties are easier than tri-ing basenjis.  [;)]

    More pics?
