    Cute kitties!

What a cool story about keeping the phone booth.

Can I just take a moment to whine about allergies? Ahhjhhbbhh! Thank you.

So there's this fb site called iluvdogs that I followed for a while. Sometimes they posted cute stuff. Well lately I have been getting more and more annoyed with their posts and the other day they posted a video that said you will Lol at this dog! So funny! It was a video of a chi snarling and snapping at its owner because the owner was annoying it. Seriously! They posted that as funny and 9 out of 10 comments agreed it was hilarious! Needless to say I unliked the page. Stupid people.

    @sharismom
I wish Janice was still here to post pictures of Rupert's butt.

Me, too!  I often think about Janice and Rupert.  The girls must be so grown up now!   We saw a Viszla when we were at Cannon Beach last week, and I said to DH, "Hey, there's a Rupert dog!"

Tina, Oscar is very handsome!  I'm glad he's settling in nicely.

We had our annual National Night Out BBQ in our cul-de-sac last night.  Rather than risk Ruby learning how to break out of her new crate, we brought her out with us.  She was very good with all the neighbors, including a few who have seemed afraid of her (understandably so, since she barks like a crazy dog when certain people walk by the yard).  But since everyone had a plate of food, she kept offering everyone a SIT, and giving them the "food mental telepathy" stare.  Everyone complied by giving her a bite of something, so everyone was her friend by the end of the evening!

We register our BBQ with the city, so they send fire and/or police personnel to visit the kids.  Last night we got both teams, as well as the mascot for a local university.  Kids got to sit in the huge firetruck, and the firefighters stuck around to eat and chat for a while.  We were picking their brains about their jobs.  Did you know that the general statistic is that only 20% of their calls are for fires?  And that includes just a fire alarm going off, not an actual FIRE.  The rest are medical calls.

They were really nice guys, but I admit that I noticed none of them looked anything like the firefighters in the FDNY calendar!  Stick out tongue  http://fdny-firezone.hostedbyamazon.com/CALENDAR/b/3255023011?ie=UTF8&title=CALENDAR

Tracy, lol, @ the FDNY calendar.

Ruby you are such a good girl.  Now all the neighbors know you are just a sweetie with a large voice :)

I too miss those Rupey pics.  I bet those girls are getting so big.  There are a lot of old friends that I wish would stop by just to say hi and catch up.  Not to mention our daily drink specials from Ms Deb.

I agree, Ginger.  Our virtual alcohol consumption has significantly decreased without our favorite bartender here.  I even miss the photos of the prettier cocktails!

    Puppy pics.

This was a shady patch.  He didn't want to leave it.

It was a warm day.  He walked and ran, going in.  Carried him out.

He is 15lbs now, and is practicing flying.  Reminds me of Mighty Mouse, with his launch form.  Fore arms out stretched, back legs straight back, as he clears about 4 ft from the sofa.  He no longer needs help to get up, and has spent a 4 hour stretch in his outdoor kennel.

Had our town Night Out get together yesterday.  Met a couple of neighbors with a water spaniel that they are socializing now.  She's about 4 yrs old, but never got socialized much before they got her. Pretty dog.We may get them together after both have been run into the ground and are too tired to get grumpy.

Sky is looking better every day.  He enjoys long walks, WMA's and car rides.  It will be about another month until a puppy class opens up, then we start the fun and games.

aw Doug he's a cutie for sure!

Tracy did you notice that the 2015 calendar has the first ever female in it? I saw a news brief on it the other day

Nice kitties Tina - although I must confess that since I am severely allergic to cats I get tense just looking at photos

Julie I have seen some of those posts - makes me insane. I have been working on not responding to idiocy - I had to really work at it today when I saw someone asking how to assert dominance over their 14 wk old pup. All the responses were the usual "never let them in or out a door first" sigh. I feel sad for the pups

Ruby I know you are a sweetie and It makes me super happy to think the neighbors realize it too

Apparently DH is in his PMS cycle - no one will ever convince me men don't have cycles

B's GSP pup is back in town and they will be here shortly - it is going to be insane. The boys love each other very much and he's been gone for nearly two weeks!

Other than that we are expecting between 3-4 inches of rain in the next few days I guess. I try not to look at the weather forecast. If it is dry I just rejoice

    • Gold Top Dog

Oh my, Sky is a nice looking pup!!

Thanks for the pics of Oscar, Tina, he is also quite handsome :)

    • Gold Top Dog

Doug, that little guy looks incredibly happy and cute in those pics!

Julie, I meant to say earlier that I finally put my allergy meds away last week.  This year the grass season was awful; I had to take them far later in the summer than normal.  Allergy symptoms really stink!

Karen, if men have cycles, then my DH has one that is practically permanent!  Tongue Tied Actually, his nature isn't what you'd describe as cheery, but it's much worse lately with all the stress he has with his job and dealing with his mother.

I did see the female firefighter in the upcoming calendar.  She looked fantastic.  Attractive face and incredibly fit body.  Pretty cool she was included.  The TV news story I saw interviewed other males who are in it, and they seemed supportive, but it wonder if anyone gives her a hard time?  If they did, she could deck 'em easily!

well the pointer boys reunion was quite energetic LOL

Tracy I was being kind, my DH seems to be near permanent in this phase of grouchy, moody. He goes a while without it and then a while like this. He too has plenty on his mind so I try to let it slide but truth be known I think it is ridiculous. I am not terribly moody so I think it is likely more aggravating to me because of that. I am mostly "a life is too short to be miserable" person

I woke up today thinking it was Monday. Nooooooo!

    • Gold Top Dog

    EEEEK! Not another Monday.

Doug, I'm in love with Sky. He's soooo cute!

Thanks for the kind words about my cats. In truth, I am not a fan of the orange tabby color, but Missy is a sweet kitty and Oscar seems good so far. They suit my life right now, but I still want a dog someday. Next time I will try to make a less emotional decision and pick the right dog. Darn rescuing tendencies got me in over my head with GingerD. Broken Heart

Anyway, it's a beautiful day here, which I can really only see from my window. Confused

    • Gold Top Dog

Doug, Sky was just what I needed today.  We had storms roll thru this morning which created lots of trouble calls, which also created a headache.   Then that adorable pup made me smile and all is right with the world. :)

((Tina))  you have a rescuing heart of gold and all the Kitties and doggies know that.

Karen, your philosophy of "lifes to short....." is also mine.  I really am the cheerleader around here, lol.

    Julie....please don't say "Monday"

Need some weather vibes for my co-worker.  She has been looking forward to her 25th anniversary cruise which was booked in Jan to  you guessed it .   Hawaii.   They left for the first leg of the journey early this a.m.  Driving to Dallas, flying to L.A. then flying to the Big Island, before boarding the ship on Saturday.  Hoping all the Islands miss the storms headed that way.   She was in Colorado last year for vacation dodging the fires.  I told her she must love adventure.

ETA: Jackie how was Nose Class with Belle?

    • Gold Top Dog

Yes, one Monday per week is enough.  Multiple Fridays would be nice, however!

Ginger, talk about disappointing for your coworker and their travel plans!  I sure hope they're able to enjoy the anniversary cruise without any weather obstacles.  I wonder what happens in such cases?  You probably don't get any refunds if it's just weather-related problems that prevent the travel, right?  It does sound like Murphy's Law has had a hand in her vacation plans lately!

I didn't eat much breakfast this AM (I was running too late).  Now I'm trying to resist eating my sandwich that I brought for lunch.  It's only 10:20am.  If I eat it now, then I'll be hungry later this afternoon.  That would only lead to a walk to the store across the street, where I'd buy something unhealthy.

Oh, that reminds me.  Here is a funny e-card DH sent me the other day.  He knows how much I hate exercise:

    • Gold Top Dog

Hey everyone! Thanks for thinking of us. I lurk occasionally, but honestly I just can't get the hang of this new format. I got some photos together for you, but I can't even figure out how to make a new post. I went to the top nav bar, News & Entertainment > Videos & Pictures, but there's no button to make a new post. I see the quick post button, but that doesn't give me options to add photos. Frustrating.

Also, I have over 100 messages, and there's no option to delete all. Or even select 10 or so at at a time. Just delete them one at a time and wait for the entire page to reload after each one.

Anyway, we are all doing well. The kids are growing like weeds. Willa is 6 and Sonja is 4. Rupert will be TEN tomorrow! I told him two years ago that he is not allowed to get any older, but it doesn't seem to be working. ;) He sends love and nuzzles to all his aunties.

    • Gold Top Dog

OMG, the girls cant be 6 and 4 already!  Rupey no more getting older for you , Hot and Rock have been told the same thing so....mind the humans :)  So good to hear from you. As for the new forum it is kinda different but I have been able to wing it, I love that we have started weekly chat sticky it has been easier for folks to find it.  Cant wait to see those pics :)

Tell Rupey Auntie Gin sends smooches
