    Mindless Tuesday

Cathy, I just saw the photos of your new house and wow!!! It's amazing! I love everything about it! Congratulations!!!

Looks like I have an emergency trip to the UP coming either Wed or Thurs. I'm going to be up there a lot this year which wouldn't be bad except for the 10 hr drive each way.

Yesterday was nutty at work so I'm happy for the calm today at home. I have a ton of stuff to do though including a deadline which requires my 7 page resume to be shaved down to 2 pages. No idea how I'm going to make that happen.

My new bike rack should be delivered today. yay!

Working from home this AM as I have to attend focus groups tonight until 11:00 or so. BOOORRRING! Oh well, much worse ways to earn a living that's for sure!!

Finally got a good nights sleep last night. That is minus Charlie's paw jammed into my chest for most of the night, but I am used to that LOL.

DH and I are getting ready to head to Vegas next week for 4 days to celebrate our 40th birthdays. Are dbays are only 5 days apart so that works out nicely. His parents bought us tickets to see the Beatles LOVE show - it's one of those Cirque du Soleil shows so it should be awesome!!

For those that remember a while back me asking for prayers for a co-worker with a new baby and stage IV Melamona. Well, things are not going well. She has now been medicated so she just sleeps most of the time. I am asking prayers and thoughts again that this final stage (she's been in hospice care for about 45 days) moves quickly and peacefully. God bless your strength Maureen, your husband, and your three little boys.

My cellphone is being all wonky.  It keeps popping up that I have a new voicemail, but I actually have 0 voicemails (not even old, saved ones).  Really annoying.  I tried clearing the VM counter, turning the phone on and off - even removing the battery.  Oh well.

Good luck on trimming down the resume!  My work history isn't that long so mine is a perfect one page.  I cut out a job or two depending on where I'm applying.  No one will really care that I worked briefly at a department store (since at the same time I had two other jobs lol), or my first job as a dog groomer - since these days I go for office work, so I make my experience there the focus.

Good luck on the resume trimming Julie.

Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear about your co-worker. She'll be in my thoughts.

I was going to work this morning, and then I didn't end up going. I was driving along, and then started hacking and coughing till I puked up the water I was drinking. So, I pulled in somewhere, sent a message that I wasn't coming, and came back home. I really, really do not like the taste of bottled water. I don't usually have it, but I had grabbed the bottle last night out of Luke's bag that my friend took him to a demo with. She had packed it for him, and I figured I would just use it to take to bed with me just in case I needed it, then I took it with this morning. I'm going to sit home this morning and do paperwork instead.

Lisa - your coworker and her family are in my thoughts.

Awww  . . . . . Lisa, that's so sad about your co-worker and her baby.  I don't think I would ever have the strength to handle something like that.

I was going to take the day off to go down the shore and see if I could get up close and personal with Prince Harry.  However, since I am already married to my prince, I decided to give somebody else a shot.  (Did anyone else besides me just laugh out loud ?)

Anyway in Harry's honor I give you:

     Sweet n’ Salty Gingy

    Ingredients:

1 1/2 shots of silver tequila

    Blood orange soda

    Lime

    Ginger Beer

    Kosher Salt

    Granulated sugar

On a plate, add Kosher salt and granulated sugar and mix well with a fork. Rub the rim of a glass with a lime wedge and dip into sugar/salt mixture. Set aside. Add ice to a martini shaker, tequila, lime wedge (squeeze first), splash of blood orange soda, and heavy splash of ginger beer. Shake well and serve on the rocks in your rimmed glass. Enjoy!

    Have a great day !!

Oh my Lisa Crying That is so horribly sad. Sending vibes out to her and her whole family

Julie consolidate what you can, highlight the most relevant, and some suggest to list only the last 10 yrs. If that isn't sufficient you can drop all but the last five years and just have a list of the rest

34* this morning but warming up fast. Really a pretty day.

And Julie - 10 hrs each way Ick!

Oh yea just looked and the weather looks perfect at the beach for the weekend Big Smile

    OK much to do

    No, never. Wink

Very sad about your co-worker, Lisa.

I left DS a note this morning that said we have to discuss his continuing to live with me. Better set me up with a few of those, Deb.

     Very sad Lisa :(

My morning ramped up to stress level 'extraordinary' already. Apparently, I am approaching a situation at work incorrectly and the big boss is calling me on it (not in a bad way, but in a 'let's get you educated' way). I hate it when I do things wrong publicly (privately that is ok lol), but admittedly I was kind of thrown into the lake without a life jacket on this one and I am trying to work my way through it the best I can. It's still stressful though! I'm a bit of a control freak perfectionist. Oh well.

Lisa - prayers for your friend and her family :(

Julie - good luck with the work situation.

I'll take a couple of those drinks Deb.

I'm surprised I slept at all last night. So much on my mind and my worry meter is off the charts. It's probably good that I have to go to work today.

Sunny and low 90s today :)

Ahh!! I just thought we were going to have a crisis. Luke was over on the couch eating a candle. My niece sees him eating the candle, and knows he shouldn't do that. As I'm yelling at her and going to grab her to keep her from taking it from him she runs over and grabs it from him, and tells him no. And he just let her take it. I was just going to leave it till he was done, because he was already pretty much done. It was a tea light, I could see from across the room that he had taken it out of the metal casing, so since it won't hurt him, I was going to just let it go. If I need to get the thing, I swap with him, or I pick him up and he'll drop it, or I take it from his mouth while I'm holding him. She knows with the toys she has to wait for him to give it up before taking it, but apparently not about things he isn't supposed to have.

The kid is insane for a sick kid. Earlier we washed Luke, because she decided Luke wanted a bath. He didn't,  though he did need one. Then she wanted to do the others. I don't wash Pigeon, and Callie has to be barricaded into the shower and I sort of have to get in there with her. Luke just stands sadly in the bath.

Sitting at the dealership waiting for my car. Ho hum

Sadly I forgot to bring food :(

Rachel Ray is on, why do they clap after everything? There was a guy on suggesting cheeses. He'd say I love a good blue cheese and the audience would clap. It was all I could do to not lol

Boo... My mom said they direct you to clap all the time when you go to Rachel Ray. She went once. She says Martha Stewart was better. It's all I can do not to chuck my remote at the tv when I watch Rachel Ray. It's just too idiotic.
