Mindless Tuesday

I had never seen it before, it was truly ridiculous. The View is on now, Whoopi sure has gained some weight. The predicted time for my car to be ready is up now. Better be ready soon!

It is truly idiotic. If you get the chance, The Chew is pretty idiotic too.

I was getting some paperwork done, and then, all of a sudden, I totally spaced out. I really need to get this done today too so I can send to my boss to review it, because we're meeting on this one on Tuesday. I'm going out to work later I think. I'm feeling okay now that I got some Mucinex. This reminds me that I need to go take my stupid antibiotic.

Lisa, I'm so sad to read the update on your friend.  Sending peaceful vibes for her and comfort vibes for her family and friends.  (((Lisa)))

I've never watched many daytime TV shows.  Rachel Ray has to be the most annoying perky person around based on her past cooking shows.

Deb, I'm glad you decided not to get up close and personal with Prince Harry.  He had enough bad publicity the last time he was here with the nude dancing. Meeting a cougar like you would probably ruin him for women his own age anyway. :)  I enjoyed watching the news clip of him last night with the wounded veterans playing volleyball.

I just spent thirty minutes listening to a seemingly intelligent person explain all about Syria and the entire Middle East situation.  His views are very enlightening but not in the way he intended.  lol

Tina, I hope you can have a conversation with your DS that resolves his living arrangements.  There's always the 2X4 method if talking doesn't work out.

My shoulders and back are killing me from all the computer time today.  I'm heading to the park with the dogs for lunch.

I have an appt. to call about the job I've been interviewing for.  Looks like I may be getting an offer.  Kinda freaking out now.

Lisa, how sad about your co-worker.  Like Deb said, I can't imagine going through something like that.  It's sad enough when cancer takes the life of someone, but it's even worse when it's someone with young children.  Wishing strength and peace for the whole family.

Count me in the already-got my-"prince" (wink) category, but I wish mine spoke with that lovely British accent.  Hey, I just realized that you've got that added princely characteristic in your DH, right Karen?!  Big Smile

Good luck with the resume trimming, Julie.  I updated mine last month -- there was no way I'd get it on one page, but it's a nicely spaced two-pager.  You get to a certain age, and unless you've had only 1 or 2 jobs for most of your career, you've got a lot of info to include!

Cathy, the combo of stress and excitement over the new house is understandable.  I assume you're selling your existing house?  There's always some work in prepping for that, too.  Eeeek -- I feel my blood pressure raising on your behalf.

Jen, glad to hear Luke cooperated with your niece and the candle!  Sorry you're still feeling crummy.  Antibiotics can make my stomach feel lousy --- you might want to take it with some crackers or something.

funny about the Rachael Ray clapping thing. I wish people would clap after everything that came out of my mouth lol Speaking of gaining weight, did you all see what OJ is looking like these days? Holy smokes. He ate a second person and age has not been kind. Puts it into perspective how long ago that actually was.

I got my hair done over lunch. How come I can never style it like my hair stylist does? She makes it look so cute and effortless. When I try to do it it is hopeless.

I also stopped at the office to get some background info for a meeting tomorrow. That meeting is going to be extremely volatile so I need to make sure my position is solid. Whenever I deal with the folks I am meeting with tomorrow, I expect to be yelled at. It's hard to keep a cool head in the face of that so it will test all of my people skills!

Now to deal with the lift bridge that a drunk operator dropped on top of a freighter. Fun times.

I'm convinced this is one of life's mysteries.  I have super short, pixie style haircut yet even I can never style it the way my hair stylist does, even using the same exact products!

Yup -- I was going to say, "That's the $64,000 question!"  For me, it has something to do with poor arm/hand coordination and using a hairdryer and brush simultaneously, especially on the back of my head!

Julie, I thought the same thing about OJ.  I told DH it seems like he should be thin --- I doubt they have unlimited meals and desserts in prison, not to mention having plenty of time to work out (assuming he's given exercise privileges).  How'd he get so heavy?

Sharon, when will you have news about that job phone call?  You know I'm living vicariously through you and your job change!  :-)

    • Gold Top Dog

Tracy, depending upon when I can get him on the phone as early as 10 minutes from now or closer to 4pm.  I'm nervous as all heck to find out if it is indeed an offer (which I'm sure it is, otherwise the VP wouldn't be calling me himself).

OK -- I'll try to remain patient!  Wink

I'm excited and nervous for you too Sharon. I hope it's the news you want.

My best friend found out that the job she wanted badly and went to 3 interviews for, was given to the other runner-up. I was heartbroken for her. She needed the job badly and not just for the money.

The plan for now is to rent our current house. We could sell it for a profit but the market is moving up and we would prefer to wait a bit. My mind is swimming and on top of all the normal work I find on my Tuesday mornings, I had to wire money to the escrow acct., scan and email loan docs, etc. All the while, Shane was one step in front of me wondering when we'd go for a walk :).

That's so stressful Cathy!! Stress be gone vibes coming your way :)

The same goes for Sharon heh. There's not many more stressful situations that a job change or buying a house.

It's a good thing Bugsy doesn't understand calendars or time . . . . otherwise you'd have his "beach focus" to deal with, too!  He'd be like a little kid, repeatedly asking:  "How many days until we leave, Mom?"  Big Smile

    Edited grammar
