    Thirsty Thursday Chat

I cannot get enough of Dunkin Donuts Butter Pecan iced coffee.  I even turned my coffee hating friend onto it lol.

Because my life likes to be complicated, I've been asked back for a FINAL interview for the university position.  This is just in time for me to go full time at work, which means getting out of work is going to be very complicated and will likely lead me to having to be honest with my current boss (typically I have to stay in the office because I'm the ONLY one in the office - so I can't just sneak out for a lunch interview).  I don't want to lose my current job or position, but it may come to that because if I can get the university position, I'm going for it.  I'm so not good with this interviewing while employed stuff, I feel traitorous.

Oh come on now!! Day four or five of this crap! I want to see clearly and feel a bit of warmth from the giant orb called the Sun

Hmm isn't Orb the front runner for the derby?

The furry beast seems to be enjoying the weather and life these days. Makes me happy but I need to remember to be patient and keep him contained

Went to a little lecture/class at REI last night about hiking with your dog - it was very poor. Its the 3rd class I have gone to there and each one is the same. I am going to approach the manager about providing some support for the folks delivering the training. They may know what they are doing but holy poop they don't know how to present information

Pooop! In the pool. Probably just a Baby Ruth bar

That's a lot of interviews Sharon geez. I would stay mum about your new job when talking to the university. You don't want that to influence their decision.

A sar friend brought me this new York style white cheddar cheese last night. Omg it is mouth watering goodness. I have never had such good cheese before. I have to control myself or I will eat it all!

I'm too tired to ride my bike today I think but I feel guilty if I don't because it's so nice out. I think I need more coffee.

Very funny about the poo in the pool from yesterday's thread.

No, I meant I might need to be honest with my current boss, which may mean either nothing changes with my current role here, I lose the office management position or I may very well lose my job altogether.  I'm not sure how it will go with my current employer.  The University doesn't need to know that I've been promoted in my current job.  They know I'm very keen to get this position and work at the University.  I'm getting tired of the interviews though lol, this will make my FOURTH interview for this position.  Interviewing totally stresses me out (as I'm sure it does for most of us) I applied back on 2/21 so that's how long this has been going on.

    Ha ha...

Rode my new bike to work today.

Orb is a front runner in the Derby.

Another owner meeting here in the office today. Color me busy and interrupted a lot.

Glad it wasn't Riley who pooped in the pool. LOL

I am still swamped. A few weeks ago I volunteered to go on a field trip with Willa's class today. Ugh! And of course, I'm waiting on some stuff from clients. Hopefully I get it within the next half hour or so.

About the pooping in the pool.  OMG EEWWWW Ick!  I find it hysterical Riley's response though hehe!  She's such a cutie pie!

My last interview is scheduled.  They wanted me to come roughly during the time I already blocked off for an actual doctor's appt. so I'll just cancel my doc's appt, but leave my block up on the work calendar for that appt.  This way my boss won't question it and I don't feel THAT deceitful.

In other news, I'm actually wearing a skirt today.  This is a rare event.  It's also bright pink, with blues, yellows, purples and oranges (normally I stick to earth tones/autumn colors).  It's very springy. I even bought a wicked cute pair of pink shoes to match and a bright blue top.  I'm 31 years old and apparently I've decided to turn into a girly girl Stick out tongue I even have a fresh manicure and pedicure that my Mom paid for (we went together last weekend).  I draw the line at makeup though, never could be bothered with it!

Deep snow went south of us and smacked Wisconsin pretty hard. I still carry the cold weather gear in the truck, just in case. Has anybody heard of this thing called "global warming"? Wife's yearly package of bulbs just showed up, and she wants to plant something. At the moment, I am dressed for work. Raincoat over an insulated vest. As a sign of spring, Fred and Ethyl, our two young squirrels, appear to be making more squirrels. I've found bunnies in the yard, and bird nests are appearing. The feeder really gets a workout before a snow fall.

We're having incredible weather here.  Yesterday was around 70 with a light breeze and blue skies.  Today looks like more of the same.  We took Ari for her first swim of the season, she was so happy she nearly bust out of her fur.  She literally trembled at the sight of the river.

    22 days until my cruise!

We had a storm move through in the middle of the night.  Woke me at 3:00AM and I never could fall back to sleep.  I couldn't turn my brain off and finally got up at 4:00AM and read my new Bark magazine.  Some good articles in there this month.  We didn't get much rain but we're suppose to be very cool tomorrow morning.  Today will only get in the 60's with windy conditions.

I've read this contract so many times I can recite all 65 pages, including the 19 amendments. :(

Good plan, Sharon.  Good idea, Karen.

One of the guys at work unexpectedly popped one of those shipping air bags at the office this morning.  Gabby was sound asleep and it scared her half to death and me too.  I got over it but I bet my scaredy girl won't.  Angry  He got a piece of my mind and he was very contrite.  He didn't realize the ramifications and I know had no intention of scaring her.  I should have been paying attention. :(

Poor Gabby!! Nothing gets me more riled up than someone messing with Shane. I hope she's settled back down Jackie.

Sharon - good luck with the job interview. I wouldn't worry too much about your current employer finding out about this. They jerked you around with cutting your hours and wondering if you'd even have a job, so they should understand why you started looking elsewhere.

Thank goodness the winds died down last night but it means our temps are going up. We'll be in the mid 90s today.

My Kindle arrives today - yippeeeeee....

I didn't mean the guy was messing with Gabby in case that's how it sounded.  He was just fiddling around with a box on a counter and picked up one of the shipping air bags and popped it.  Gabby recovered in a very short time but I wonder how she'll react to fireworks, car backfires and gun shots in the future.

Good plan Sharon! I get super paranoid about work related stuff I post on the Web even though I know nobody would be looking here but if it were me I would delete the stuff about your doc appt.... Because I am crazy like that! People have gotten fired for stuff they post on the Web all the time. Good luck with the final interview!

Sorry about your weather Doug. I think it is due to hit us next week. Bleh. Hopefully it will die out when it crosses the great lake

Yay Tina for riding your bike to work! I sicked it up and rode in too. More slowly than usual.

Poor gabby getting so rudely woken up from her nap.

There was more I was going to say but it has left the brain.

Heading in to give a presentation to the huge heavy hitters at work - never presented to this level before - wish me luck!!
