Karen, Riley has a habit of randomly naming people. She started calling my sister's boyfriend Uncle Stewart for some reason (his name is Keith). Now, that's what everyone calls him including some of his friends. LOL
OK, that's hilarious! I wonder why she chose the name Stewart? It doesn't sound like a name she would've picked up from a favorite kids' program or book or something. Too cute.
Doug, I know I'd be complaining about the bitter cold you described, but the sun and bright blue sky have to lend a bit of "ooomph" to things, right? Thankfully, the heavy winds finally stopped late yesterday -- just some showers today.
Karen, I'm glad you're staying overnight for Bugsy's surgery, too. I assume they're keeping him at the clinic overnight? What ever happened with the other clinic? Did they ever offer any other explanations or apologies -- and more importantly, did you have to pay for the "services" they provided? I sure hope not! .
I'm afraid Ruby is about to learn how to climb our chainlink fence. I know she could if she wanted to -- she's fast, she can jump incredibly high, and she's agile. But until now, she's never been inclined to try it other than to put her paws on the top rail to reach my neighbor if he's offering her a pat or a treat. Yesterday she spotted a large bird in a shrub just outside the fence, and she got on her hind legs to get a better look. Once she focuses on something, forget it -- she wants to get close. The bird didn't fly off, and she got frustrated that she couldn't get closer, so she started to put her hind paws on the fencing. I immediately called her off, and she complied. We don't leave her in the yard unattended, but now we'll have to be extra vigilant even when we're out there with her!
