The handguns were semi-automatic. No, it is not the fault of the guns, it is absolutely the fault of the person. I personally do not like guns and won't own one. I hunted with my dad as a child and don't object to hunting, or guns in general. I will not own one primarily because I have a temper and back in my first life, I *might* have used a gun on my abusive ex. But, that's neither here nor there.
I am totally open to understanding.....can anyone tell me why John Q Public needs a semi-automatic? You don't hunt with a handgun and I wouldn't think you'd want a semi-auto rifle for hunting. I can certainly understand the need for such weapons in law enforcement or the military, but I don't understand why a regular person would need one. I am not being a smart alec here, so please help me understand.
Yes, we are a violent society. I don't think it can be blamed on movies or violent games, but perhaps those in combination with a lack of parental guidelines and structure? I don't know the answer. Yes, we need far more accessable mental health care in this nation. But, my gosh. What else? There have just been so many mass shootings and murders this year and they began no less shocking.
And now, the death of innocence cames to babies.
