    Friday (WHHHEEEEE) Chat Time

Been up since about 3:30 AM working on this new stupid project. However, we have a busy weekend filled with fun and excitement. My Dad's 70th birthday bash is tomorrow. My mom is having about 60 people over to their house for the party so it will be really fun and Riley will LOVE spending time with her cousins and "cousins".

Wow that is a lot of people! Happy bday to your dad!

Last night was so nice. I am still feeling run down from the flu so when I got home I just threw my pjs on and snuggled up in bed with the dogs and fooled around on the computer. I don't do that very often, there's always so much stuff to do. I should be doing that tonight too but I have training with abbie right after work.

I haven't done any christmas shopping yet except for ss. Oy! I have a party to go to on sunday which I need a gift for too. I have to come up with something btwn $10 and $15 that would work for a man or woman or dog. It is prob going to be a gift card and candy at this point.

I wish I was still sleeping. So very tired.

Aww, Happy Birthday to your dad!  Hope he loves his party as much as Riley will! :)

Nothing much to report.  I had weird dreams all morning,  Exhausted and slightly thankful I have to stay a bit later at the house to let dogs out since they won't get their usual rotation today while I'm at work.

Good luck Paige, Happy Birthday Lisa's Dad! Yesterday was my Dad's birthday too!

You guys have some powerful Idog vibes :)  Heather's staff infection was superficial.  They were very please that it was not in the joint.  I havent talked to her yet but my soninlaw was very relieved last night.   It was his Bday yesterday and he was so stressed about her.  He said they would get to go home but it would be late so they would call today.  Dr also said he was so pleased with Heather's range of motion proving that the exercises are sooooo important.  Whew!

From yesterday,  I am so in love with Shane what an adorable picture!

    Work, work work...gotta run!

I posted earlier but was having trouble with the internet.  Typical Windows issue that rebooting took care of.

Happy Birthday to your Dad, Lisa and belated birthday wishes for everyone else.

Gin, so happy that your daughter's infection appears to be fairly minor.  Yay for her range of motion progress. :)

Twister was one proud little terrier yesterday.  He caught a mouse in the backyard at work. :)  Quickly dispatched and paraded in front of Gabby and Ruger till mom took it away. lol

It was like Wild Kingdom at home too.  When I got home from work, as I was getting Gabby and Twister out of the truck, a red tailed hawk flew overhead (very close and low flying) with a huge pigeon in his/her clutches.  Later in the evening, Rex and Belle were outside in the back yard and they started going apesh!t crazy barking and howling.  I went out to see what all the fuss was about and a opossum was on the power line that runs overhead at the back of our yard.  The poor opossum was frozen in terror.  I had to drag the two dogs inside and the opossum stayed in that one spot for over an hour.  I'm really glad it didn't fall into the yard.  That would not have ended well for the opossum.

    Great news, Ginger !!!

Cathy  . . . . when I saw Shane's picture yesterday, the first thing that popped into my head was "that's exactly what Santa would look like if he was a dog".   He's just so gorgeous !!

We have one ( I think) that is out in the yard at night - when B goes out for his business its a nightmare.

So glad to hear the positive news Gin!

I am very scatter brained today and don't have time to be scatter brained - send me some "FOCUS" vibes - and yes shout them :)

LOL!! Thanks for all the compliments. He's a dream and not a day goes by that I don't feel blessed to have him. DH is over the moon with him too. Yesterday Shane greeted me with this beautiful red doggie jacket on. I'll have to get a picture of him in it. DH said Shane needed it for their early morning walks but I think he likes spending money on him as much as I do. We both worry about him a lot and think we've noticed a bit of slowing down. Hopefully it's just the chilly weather making him want to hibernate more.

I couldn't get on the forum for awhile either Hmm

Happy birthday to your dad Lisa!

There's a very large gift that appeared under the tree yesterday. It will take every ounce of my willpower not to peek Stick out tongue

Aaaaawww!!  That's such a great image!!  Now I'm going to look at dogs a little differently.  I've always looked at Gracie and called her my elf on stilts b/c of her big ears and long skinny legs.

Gracie is a complete nut lately.  You'd think it was spring fever, but it's the chiropractic.  I'm still so overjoyed that she's feeling sooooo good!  Reminds me I need to send a Christmas card to the lady w/the pug who was so nice to us at the shows and commented on Gracie looking better.

Mutual of Omaha moved to Texas, eh??  Geez!  I gotta be proud for Twister to have caught a mouse, tho.

Can't believe there's been another shooting - in an elementary school??  Awful. http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2012/12/14/shooting-reported-at-connecticut-elementary-school/

Update - this site is saying children were killed?  So awful!  http://www.courant.com/news/breaking/hc-police-responding-to-incident-in-newtown-20121214,0,3969911.story

When I came home from my daughters house there was an opossum that had met it's demise...found him near the barn...usually they just lay there until the boys go away and then they leave.  No one will fess up.....although if I had a guess it would have been Rocky.

Very sad about the shooting, prayers to all.

Watching the news coverage is almost unbearable.

What a week -- deadlines and major upset at work, the deadly shooting about 45 miles from us, and now reports of children killed at another shooting about 40 miles from my hometown in CT.  I have little to no holiday spirit most years, but this one is especially bad.  I can't even imagine what the families of all the victims are experiencing.  And the poor children who were witnesses . . . a trauma that will affect them for the rest of their lives.  So, so tragic.

In happier news, I caught up on yesterday's posts and was very cheered to see the gorgeous photo of Shane, Cathy.  What a stunning dog, and his fur is like golden silk!  No wonder you and your DH find it so easy to spoil him!

Ginger, I was worried to hear about your daughter's staph infection -- those can become incredibly dangerous.  I'm very glad to hear that the news is much better today.

Enjoy the big celebration for your Dad, Lisa.  Just thinking about the fabulous food you'll enjoy is making my stomach growl!

Speaking of food, we've got dinner plans with friends tonight and tomorrow night.  As I like to say, "Seasons Eatings!"  After this week, I need some good laughs and tasty meals.  That, along with many, many hours of sleep, and I hope to feel more up to par next week.  Now to get my gifts wrapped, boxed, and shipped . . . . . . . Tongue Tied

We can't watch streaming video at work, but I'm reading some reports saying almost 20 people killed, including 10 children?  A witness reporting 3 adults went into a hallway to investigate and only 2 came back, later she was escorted past two adult bodies laying in blood??  Holy lord.  Why??  Oh, I just want to cry, but can't and still do my job.
