My mom lost power at 4:30, my brothers house is under water, it wa still getting repaired from Irene! But they are OK. Our Internet is down (using my phone) so I feel out of touch. I am praying hard for this to move on and not worsen. The NC mountains are having a blizzard from this storm, it's all nuts! We are just cold, wet & windy. I felt terrible waking B up to send him out into 39*, heavy rain and gusty wind. He was REAL quick! Watching the news makes my jaw drop and I'm sure when we see things by the light of day, it'll be worse. Speaking of worse, I found out today that DH's sister's dobe has dermal hemangiosarcoma. I can't be believe that 2 dogs I know of have been diagnosed with that nasty cancer in just a few days. • griffinej5 Posted : 10/29/2012 10:20:04 PM I think we're getting the worst of what we're going to get now. The accuweather app says 72mph wind gusts. Luckily, the dogs are unphased. Luke tried to swim in the neighbors garden a few minutes ago, and I actually had to drag him back inside. Callie just sighed like she was bored. I feel bad for anyone whose dogs are afraid of this. I wonder if my neighbors gave theirs something, or took her to the basement, because I know she freaked at the fireworks this year, and is just nervous in general. It would drive me nuts and I would make way more mistakes than I already do ;p It is hard to believe we are getting the sandy system here in MI, but it is windy as all get out. Not 75 mph windy but windy enough to take out power in places. My sister lost power hours ago. I hope all you easterners won't be without power for too long, especially with the temp dropping like it is. I wish there was something I could do to help! So much so, that I think I will skip going into the office on the 39th floor downtown and just hang at the warren office on the main floor. YIKES! Has anyone heard from Deb after last night. There were several fires on her street (she posted on FB) and a down wire on fire in front of her house.
