    Toooooooooooooosday

one more day until I hit NY!

Bugsy crying doesn't make anything go faster

I am happy to say that he has been feeling really good as evidenced by watching him running around like a fool. He seems happier and healthier than he has in AGES

I have a zillion things to do today and feel very scattered

DH left at 5:30 and then got to where he was going early. No one gets anywhere early in NC so the building was all locked up LOL

hoping Gabby's tail is a it better today

I too have a zillion or more things to do today.  Where to start is the question of the day!

Hope Gabby's tail has warmed up, and Karen have a wonderful time in NY!

Debated whether to work this morning all the way there. I felt like crap, like I was going to hack up a hair ball, die or puke trying. I felt better once I left, but I'm debating about this afternoon. I think I may go back to sleep for a bit and decide a little later.

my tv is only getting volume on certain channels. Mostly cable. That's not cool for a sitting around at home day.

Ugh, I think I'm trying to get a cold. Sad

Have fun in NY, Karen!  I'm glad to hear Bugsy is doing better.

Sorry Jen and Tina are both feeling yucky.  Get better or better yet don't get sick.

Gabby's tail is a little better today (wagged a little a few times but with a wince) but still mostly limp and she keeps looking at it in puzzlement.  I didn't let her play last night and she really didn't seem to mind much.  She did run around at a friends house after work but it was obvious that her tail was hurting her.

DH and I both were in a deep sleep this morning when the alarm went off.  We were like a couple of sleepwalkers trying to get the dogs fed and coffee made.  I'm still feeling pretty sleepy. Sleep

    better yet don't get sick.

Like I can control people who are sick coming to work and sharing the wealth. Confused

Off and running to meet with a prospective client in a few, perform a supervisory visit in the field on an employee and drop off supplies to two client houses.  Having one of our office staff out on a three week leave is going to be rough going.  All the above is stuff she'd normally do.  Hopefully tomorrow I can get some more time in the office (I was gone half the day yesterday as well).  Tomorrow I should get a full day.  I prefer being busy though!  Makes the day fly by.

     Hope Gabby's tail is better.

I admit I've come into work sick, but I've also had employers that frowned upon and gave you poor reviews if you took sick time, because you were actually sick.  I've actually been yelled at for not coming to work because I was down with a fever/flu.  I don't in this job come to work sick, since my employers are far more understanding.

Yeah, I hear ya'.  You should have been wearing your hazmat suit.

I've come to work when I was sick with a cold but I do take a lot of precautions to try and avoid spreading my germs around. I also tell all my coworkers to wash their hands too but I don't think any of them ever take my advice.  It's the people who work in retail who come to work sick that really bug me.  I know they need to work but they could try not to sneeze on my groceries or wipe their snotty noses with the back of their hand and then handle my groceries.  ugh

I got my flu shot yesterday and on the advice of the person giving the injection, I relaxed my arm as much as possible.  I'm not afraid of injections but I guess it's normal to tense up.  My arm is hardly sore this morning which isn't usually the case for me, after a flu shot.

    Feel better Jen and Tina!

Glad that Gabby and Bugsy are feeling better.

Have fun in NY Karen. Wish I could join you.

I woke up in a fog this morning too but slept really good last night. Felt like the evening was filled with excitement. Between the tornado warnings and the Giants winning, it took me forever to wind down. My phone was going off with these tornado warnings and I'd never heard that before. Is that based on your area code or does it use GPS?

Things look calm this morning but I think there might be more rain in the forecast and it's brrrrrr cold. I can finally wear some of my winter clothes to work Big Smile

sorry to hear about you sickies or soon to be sickies and I hope Gabby's tail gets better quick, poor girl. I loved the photos of Gabby and Twister at the beach :) They looked soooo happy!

My fridge is fixed!!!! Wohoo. Now I need to hit the grocery store to re-stock. It will be nice to not eat out every meal for a while.

I just ate sushi for lunch followed by a slice of carrot cake. Finishing with an expresso. Ahhhh

I did most of my errands this morning so now I just have all the household things to do, plus work, plus pack, plus - you've got the idea

ETA: at the lake this morning we saw a woman with a young golden mix pup - turns out she's very local and has 56 acres Surprise She said she'd love for Bugsy and I to come play with the pup

I can't believe how fast winter seemed to come.  One day I was using the ceiling fans and the next day it was pouring. TV programs kept getting interrupted with tornado warnings, but they were all in counties either north or east of us.  There was a bit of damage, but nothing like the ones in the midwest.

I finally figured out a way to get a cup of coffee/tea out of the kitchen and into the living room without spilling it!  In case anyone needs to file this little bit of information away, just put it in a travel mug with a lid, slip it upright into a plastic grocery bag and tie the bag up tightly around the mug. Smile

I decided I'd take the afternoon off. Most of my clients are pretty nice, and don't really care too much about that, because I only take off if I am really sick, and if I am going somewhere, I generally let them know weeks ahead of time. I went back to sleep, and I stayed asleep until 12:30. I still felt like I had a hairball to hack up. The client I had this morning and tomorrow morning, they're not as flexible. That parent will also not cancel on me when her kid is sick, unless he is really, really sick. So, unless I'm puking or my throat is so sore I can't talk, I'm probably going tomorrow morning. Hopefully I'm okay tomorrow though, because my client on Wednesday and Friday cancelled for Friday because they went somewhere, and I had to cancel and have someone else cover me for this Friday so I could go to a meeting (for the kid I see in the mornings who never cancels). I wouldn't want to not see him for two weeks. He's so much fun.

I just got the video of Luke at the tournament on Sunday.  I linked it in the photo section. Holy crap I am loud!
