    Thursday, are we chatting?

    Rainy here today.

I think the well issue at one of our restaurants is being resolved this morning. I just know it's going to be expensive.

Apparently last night someone hit an exit sign at another of our restaurants and the police refused to come out and make a report because it happened on private property. I'm still wondering how they came up with that one. Hmm

Sweet!   Now you know where to commit all your future crimes, because the cops aren't gonna come!  whooooo!

I am feeling a lot better since getting sick on Fri.  Antibiotics are surprisingly effective on this stupid cold/infection thing!  Normally, I don't get much relief from antibiotics - I always seem to catch the viral-type things.  My doc thinks I just got a secondary infection b/c I was depleted from being sick before.  Oy.  I'd like to breathe normally, not cough, not have a runny nose, and not have neck problems all in the same day!!  It's been 2 months since I felt that way! Surprise

So, what is going on w/everyone else?

the police refused to come out

Because they were all busy at Dunkin Donuts.

Hey Ginger  . . . . are you OK ????  I heard there were really bad storms in AR last night.

Today is our 11th anniversary Party!!!

    Glad you're feeling better Paige.

Tina - years ago, I had a fender bender in a parking lot and the cops said they wouldn't respond because it was on private property. The guy who hit me was being very uncooperative, so I had to make it sound like there might be a problem and then they sent someone.

Does anyone know what quibids is? Someone was talking about all the cool stuff they scored on but I'd never heard of it. I guess it's like an auction?

Warm again today but we'll be cooling down in a few days. I think I'll finally be able to put my summer clothes away and unpack winter stuff.

    Quibids is a scam.

I'm waiting for my dentist. I wonder where she is. It's 10:30, and my appointment was for 10. She called me last night too to confirm it, so I don't know what's up here, except that the longer I wait, the more I want to just run away. She just came out as I was typing this to tell me they're running late with the last person.

Tina that is ridiculous - great interpretation by Paige though. If I am feeling low on cash I know where to hit Devil

Happy anniversary Mr & Mrs Cathy!

Pile of work to do today -chugging away

it was supposed to be sunny and warm but its overcast and cool

Bugsy, my Bugsy, has completely converted his impatience to walk to impatience to swim. He nose-punched the kayak (@60lbs) so hard it nearly fell off the incredibly stable stand DH made.  Part of me wished it would have fallen and spooked him so he wouldn't bother me like that again Wink

Don't know much about Quibids, but from what I've been told, it is like an auction, but saying something wins for "$.39" its not really that amount.  You buy a certain number of bids, maybe something like 8 bids for $20 (totally made up numbers, no idea of accuracy) and then use the bids that you bought, but each bid might only up the "amount" by a few cents.  That might not be completely correct, but I'm pretty sure its something like that.

Work is making me nutty.  One side is all, hurry hurry hurry, but the other area I need info from was dragging their feet, and now that I just finished everything yesterday, we have to go back and redo it all b/c of some bad info.

I would like some chocolate, or desert, or something tasty and a nap.

Around here, accidents on private property will be responded to but not quite as promptly as those on public streets.  Our auto insurance company at home and work requires a police report for all accidents or incidents.  I backed into a teeny tiny little car that was right up my truck's butt in a parking lot.  I never saw the darn thing and took out both the headlights. It was totally my fault but I asked the other driver if they didn't happen to notice my backup lights.  My new SUV has the back up alarm so I don't have to worry about a repeat.

    Paige, glad you're feeling better.

Happy Anniversary Cathy and Mr. Cathy!!  Hope you have a great celebration.

We had a lttle cool front move through and it's only supposed to be low 80's today with lots of sunshine and wind.  The humidity has dropped drastically and it feels great outside.

Steph, sorry about the work hassles.  *hands over my chocolate stash*

Gabby had a vet appointment this morning.  Routine stuff but she's so fearful at the vet I was dreading it.  This new clinic is so nice.  They took tons of time with her and she was fed treats the entire time by the front office staff, vet tech and the vet.  Gabby was nervous but decided if these people feed you and don't grab at you and act scary, they just might be good people. The vet and I were talking about low stress handling and positive reinforcement.  She told me they refer all their clients with fearful dogs to Dr. Sophia Yin's website.  I wanted to ask her to marry me. :)  They have Dr. Yin's DVD on low stress handling and all staff are trained in the proper techniques for working with fearful dogs.

Wow Jackie - you really hit the jackpot when you switched vets! I felt the same way after Sassy's horrible 1st vet experience and then finding a new, amazing office.

DH is sick, so I'm not sure we'll do much celebrating. He had to get the flu shot, so it might be related to that or just working 2 days transporting sick people.

Thanks for the info on quibids. I don't think I need another way to spend money or waste time. Stick out tongue

Ours, too. This was at our place of business, but should be paid by her auto insurance, which is private. The town is small, so it's not as if the cops have anything else to do. We've had vehicle/building incidents in other locations and the police have never flat out refused to come out and make a report.

Yes, they do.  Dunkin Donut runs are very important.

The store should have told the dispatcher that the first officer responding gets a free burger and fries.  The parking lot would have been crawling with cops. :)

Cathy, sorry your DH is sick and not up to celebrating.  Maybe a feather boa type greeting would make him feel better. Big Smile

     Happy Anniversary Cathy!

The significant other and I were just discussing, last night, that come January, we'll have been together 9 years and aren't sick of each other yet lol.  Honestly, neither of us remember the day we met hehe, just that it was mid-late January.

I've been having really bad heartburn all day today which is causing me to let out a really loud, solitary hiccup now and then, much to the amusement of my coworker and boss lol. Or, I end up belching - which is also apparently amusing Stick out tongue
