I have a Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Spiced hot coffee and this make me a very very happy girl. The mold removal guy I was supposed to meet with today for a consult had to cancel due to an emergency job at a high school. Honestly, works out better for me to meet with him next week. Plus, it means my coworker can just take the day off to spend with her mom.

I have called 3 plumbers, 3 electricians and 2 other mold removal companies and GUESS how many call backs I've gotten (I've called once last week and twice this week). If you guessed 0 you would be correct. *&^%$#@! I realize these folks are probably busy, but how hard is it to find 3 minutes to give me a call back and set an appointment up for a later date and time?

How lame about those contractors not calling you back. I had that with my tree removal guys.

I woke up before my alarm and forgot to shut it off. Now birds are chirping from my bedroom. Birds chirping is so less annoying than a buzzer.

A friend brought over 3 stuffies for my dogs last night as a surprise. My dogs were over the moom with excitment. One is a stuffed bird and abbie has not stopped carrying it around since she got it. It is way too cute.

Tgif. I am exhausted.

So glad is it Friday. The weather here this week has been awesome. Sunny, crisp and cool. I did have to turn the heat on for a few minutes this morning, but I am sure DH already turned it off. IT'S CRAB WEEKEND HERE!!! Every year my dad buys 2 cases of Alaskan King Crab Legs and my whole family feast like we are complete and total pigs. It is one of the few meals where hardly anyone talks. LOL We used to say that my parents knew we were serious about a boyfriend/girlfriend is if they came to Crab Dinner. Normally anyone and everyone is invited to eat at my parent's on a Sunday; however, this is a closed event LOL

I'm guessing that's the school that I heard about on the radio that had to shut down because of a "water problem"

I thought about stopping for Dunkin Donuts coffee and I wish I had, because I just realized I forgot to buy new creamer! I'm heading out to a chiropractic appt, but that's not until 10:30am. I don't know if I can go that long!!! Sadface.

Just read about Joyce hurting herself!! Oy! I hope you are going easy on yourself and healing up with good nutrition and wine! (lol)

Today is my niece's 8th birthday. This is her at 5 hours old when she was held by Barbara Bush. Yes, that's one of the Bush twins behind her.

I'm am a bit peeved with the lack of call backs. I realize the work I need done may be small to them, but I'm the type that will spread their name far and wide if they do a solid job for me (I've even gone as far as to ask for some of their cards to hand out - since I know I appreciate it when people can give me referrals of good people to call). Maybe I sound too nice over the phone or something.

I'm literally savoring every drop of my coffee this morning. My love affair with coffee is pretty ridiculous lol.I had a pumpkin latte from Starbucks about a week ago that was very good too (I very rarely get Starbucks and when I do it's usually when pumpkin flavor comes around hehe).

Cool photo of your niece, Paige! Was Barbara Bush visiting the maternity ward that day, or did the new parents dash out immediately after birth to attend a political rally? Wink You'd never know it wasn't a real Grandma/Grandbaby relationship there!

Julie, your mention of your chirping alarm clock reminded me -- I wanted to ask you how you like it now that you've had it a few weeks. I haven't ordered one yet, but I need to get that done. It's so dark in the mornings now . . . I need all the help I can get. It's not good that I wake up to my alarm and immediately think, "I can't wait until tonight when I can get back in this bed and sleep again!"

Sharon, the no-call-back thing is so incredibly frustrating. It's also baffling, since all we hear (in our area, anyway) is how contractors need work, that competition between them is so tough, etc. Not a good way to handle your business if you're a contractor. At least call back and say you can't take on the job right now.

Lisa, I hope your weekend isn't too "crabby!" Sorry - I couldn't resist. Embarrassed

Yumm! Crab! Anyone want to set up a car pool to Lisa's parents house? I grabbed a carton of pumpkin soup at Trader Joe's a few days ago and it is soooo good. Not a very big carton (17 oz.) - it says 2 servings, but my little juice glasses hold 8 oz. Seriously, if it all fits in a nice sized soup mug, it's only 1 serving. It has a pretty long shelf life, so I think I'll stock up on it next time I go.

The weather report said we could be looking at 100 degrees on Sunday, but then it would start to slowly cool down. I should hope so! I'm really glad I had that insulation added to what was put in the attic years ago. I can't believe how comfortable it is inside without anything running in spite of how hot it is outside.
