Update! :( My new pup - zatchbell322/Melinda

Has found her owner. We got a knock on our door early this morning from our new neighbor who moved in Saturday ( the day we found puppy) and said she had been looking for her. She said she's a nurse and found her at her job and brought her home to her kids.She was so nice and seemed genuinely distressed about the loss of the puppy. She also told me that she was getting paid on friday and was going to take her to the Vet to get her vaccines. But I work at a vet and took her in yesterday and signed her up on a plan that covers all of her vaccines and spay surgery (free to me because I'm an employee). I told her that and she just about hugged me to death! I also gave her the puppy food, collar and leash I bought. I told her that if she wants I can take the little girl in to work with me to continue her vaccine schedule and eventually her spay. Of course she agreed :). I actually am a bit relieved to be honest, DH and I are are moving in the next 6 months (Navy) and another puppy is probably the last thing we need. But hey she's right next door and I get to see her when I take her in to work with me!

Thanks! :) I want to make sure that puppy has a good start and I know not everyone can shell out tons of money, and that doesn't mean they don't deserve to have a pet. Oh and I didn't post this on FB because I am friends with people that I work with and I don't want them knowing I technically don't own this puppy anymore, I am only allowed to have pets I own on this plan I put her on. So please nothing on FB, I appreciate it! :)

Bless you for helping the puppy and passing that along to the owner.d

I think this makes you the puppy's "Fairy Godmother," and entitles you to emailed photos at least once a year for life, he he heee!

Well I thought I would share an update - ever since giving the puppy back to her original owner, she has returned every day. Today was the last straw. I took Lex about to potty and there she was running in the abandoned fileld behind my house. She was filthy and so thirsty I though she might pass out from heat exhaustion. I just can't take it! This poor baby is so sweet and friendly she doesnt deserve to be treated this way. I can tell they haven't done anything for her, the collar I had on her when I gave her back was so dirty and tight and her belly has bumps all over eat, her ears have black gunk and she has a few random bald spots. And they have had her not even two weeks?! I don't know what to do. Ughhhh :(

Keeping her would be theft. Take her to the shelter and leave your info...then if they claim her they pay something, most likely they won't and you'll be called and can pull her and either keep or place her someplace better. Just what I would do.
