    Happy Birthday Jackie!!! Party!!!Cake

I'll meet everyone at the Tiki bar. Today is my new Friday, so I'm in the mood to celebrate Drinks

Shane barked in the car for the 1st time ever this morning. We were at a stoplight and when I looked to see what he'd barked at, it was a fire hydrant that had been wrapped up in construction tape. Apparently he didn't think that was appropriate Stick out tongue

Karen - when do you leave? I wish I could go in your place. I'd love a getaway to Cancun.

Paige, do you have to smell said smelly dog
Well, I came to work this morning, so whatever remnants he's wearing "like cologne" per his owner, is at the house, away from my room/stuff.  His spiffy jaguar collar w/the pink polka dots still stinks like skunk, tho - it was on the kitchen counter when I left this am.  When I come home, I expect to be smelling Dr Stretchman's "cologne".

Oh, and someone asked if I punched her in the face.  No.  I figured the skunk smell was enough of a punch in the face.

    JACKIE COCKTAILS!!!  hooray!!

Of course it wasn't. How would any respectable dog be able to leave his mark if it's all taped up? The tape would be removed and the pee mail would be gone. Where's the fun in that?

    Poor Shane, so offended!

Thanks for the good wishes :) I will see about trying allergy shots. They gave me a nose spray that's kind of helping, and I'm running an air filter, which also seems to help. The diagnosis was quite a surprise, to say the least!

Jackie, I'd be happy to send you Rascal - you might rethink your generous offer after he decides to mark all over your house and terrorize your dogs, though! :-p

The thing about shots is that you have to stick around the area for 3-5 years, or at least be able to come back every few months to pick them up so you can have another doctor do it, and check in with the doctor who is giving it to you periodically. At least that is what they told me.

Ugh, that sounds like a major pain... though I have 3 more years left of my program (assuming that I pass this series of exams ;)) so that might be feasible... Although I'm sorry you have allergies also, I'm kind of reassured to know I'm not alone in being allergic to my furry housemate!

    I have the hiccups.

I'm allergic to the world I think. I'm allergic to my dogs, though I appreciate that when I went to the doctor and she told me I'm allergic to my dog, she followed it by acknowledging that the dog is staying, then telling me what I could do about it. It's a pain, I have to go there every week and sit there a half hour after. It's a pain, but I'm hoping one day my ear won't be congested.

I took Shane for a walk this morning and 3 different people stopped us to say how pretty Shane is Big Smile

Jen (and Cita) - I hope you both have the kind of luck with allergy shots that my ex did. He was absolutely miserable before starting them and after about a year, you'd never have known he had any allergies at all. He was able to stop getting them completely after about 3 yrs.

I just started mine  in June, so nothing is really happening yet with mine. I'm hoping it works, because I am sucking up a big fear of needles to do this.

A person I went to high school with contacted me a few weeks ago about walking with a meetup group I am in. Anyway, I picked her up, we went, and she's been to a few other things. We weren't that friendly when we were in school, we were facebook friends prior (that's how she contacted me). Now she's trying to chat with me everyday like we're great friends.  Really, I'm not that friendly, I don't want to be that friendly,  and I don't need any new friends. I'm not going with the group tonight because Luke has weight pulling, so now she's asking me about that. She better not want to go there. I'm not taking her. Well, my car is a mess today. I started cleaning  it today, but I just left the stuff to come inside in the passenger seat, and didn't vacuum yet. Next week, it'll be Callie's turn, so I think I might have both dogs with me, so Luke can go to open gym afterwards. So, no room for extras.

I wish I could be in the roller derby. They're showing it on TV right now. Nobody tell  me I can do it, because I actually can't. My right leg is turned out, all the way up to the hip. You can't skate with your leg turned out, and I can't keep it turned straight for too long without it hurting like all hell.

My grandpa sent me a birthday card, but he didn't actually send anything. Usually he'll send me some money. I hope this was an oversight. Not like I can call him and tell him though. I can't call someone up and say, "hey, thanks for the card, but I was expecting a check in there."  Oh well. I didn't need the money, and I never plan for money of that sort. If I get it, it's just a nice extra to have.

Wow Jen!! Did you drink a Red Bull? Wink

Your friend story reminded me of a friend/coworker I once had. She wanted so desperately to be super close to me that she was beyond annoying. She joined my gym, she started dressing like me and if we were out for a meal, she'd change her order to what I was getting. One guy was describing her to someone and said "if Cathy wanted it to snow here, Sharon would drink a lot of water and *#!% snow for her" Stick out tongue. She rented an apartment in the same complex as me and when she'd see me come home, she'd call me right away. Everyone laughed about her obsession with me but it made me crazy and creeped me out Super Angry
