Poor Harry but I can tell you it was a ton of fun and it cost me a bundle to get an invite to that party and my hidden camera worked great. lol

I'm feeling great today and ready to start the ride for another year. :)  Some really great friends have made this a birthday I'll always remember.

 My whole reply blinked out, but it has nothing to do w/the forum.  Internet at work is sketchy at the moment.  Sigh.

Meanwhile, Happy Birthday Jackie.

One of the dogs got skunked as I was going to bed at 11:30pm last night.  After I googled the solution to kill the smell I suggested it was NOT a good idea to leave him in the kennel overnight because - A - the online advice says time is of the essence to remove the smell, and B - the back side of the kennel fence is not secure. Insert owner rant about how this messed up her evening.  I asked if she needed my help - no.  Ok, going to bed.  Felt a little guilty and wanted to go offer my help, but I needed to go to bed and not be ranted at.

She said in case she forgets. Of all the people I know, I expect her to remember. Well, I guess she might have trouble because I won't be her facebook friend, so she doesn't get the reminder. 

Paige, do you have to smell said smelly dog? If you don't have to smell the poor dog, well, too bad for her. If you have to smell the dog, I'm sorry. 

Had a long and nice chat with the ortho surgeon last night - for now it is what it is - I really like this guy as he is in no rush to do test after test but back when we first saw him for B's knee he was very straight forward about the TPLO being our only real option and was happy to let me walk away and make my decision. I recall him saying do it now or do it later but he will need to have the repair. Point being if he felt we had a clear action to take I'd know about it

there are tiny holes in the cloud cover today - I could so use some dry weather - looks like Cancun is exactly the same weather we've been having - humid, cloudy and stormy. I think the desert seems a better place for a holiday

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm up to my eyeballs and then some in exams right now. Rascal is not amused. The twist-n-treat and Kong bore him, he says. Picky little bugger. Also, it appears that I am allergic to dogs...? That's kind of a bummer. So we're trying to figure out how to help with that. Current plan is for Rascal to wear PJs to bed, and he's sleeping on a coversheet on the bed to minimize dander on my sheets. I could make him sleep in his crate, but that would just be cruel ;) Ah, to be a fluffy little papillon...

He's just flown out the door - I am sure he'll do his best hitchhiking in order to be there for that sort of party!

Look what I found !!!

The Jackie Cocktail:

1 part Bourbon

1 part Vodka

2 parts Cherry Liqueur

2 dashes Lemon juice

Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice.  Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

I found this cocktail at www.absolutdrinks.com.  I had to use a picture of the cocktail from another site though because I couldn't copy the one on that site.
