    Thursday chat

We're off to Duke Canine Cognition Center this morning - always a laugh and interesting

I am starting to get anxious that I'll never get everything done before we go to Cancun.

That's about all I have - head is buzzing

    Have a good day all

It is almost chilly here this morning!  THIS is the way New England summers are supposed to be....nice during the day and then brisk overnite.  I enjoy weather like this, without the tropical humidity.

Today will be less busy and I might even get a chance to breathe today!  Good thing since we have the station concert thing tonite.

    Have a good day everyone!

    Hey Tina !!

How's my awesome girlfriend this morning ??

Can I get you some breakfast ??  How about a bowl of Kashi Cinnamon or an expresso and a Dove bar?

How about lunch ??  A nice caprese salad maybe ??

Does Buddy need his litter box changed or anything ??

I hope you have a wonderful day and just let me know if there's anything I can do for you, ok?

    Your Good Friend,

    Deb W.

Oh  . . . . . and by the way  . . . . you don't by any chance have that winning Power Ball ticket do you ???

Got a call at 9:20 last night that one of our three judges for our 3-day Obed/Rally show on Labor Day weekend is unable to make the show due to a medical condition.  The show closed yesterday at noon.  He called one of my committee members at 11am.  She didn't tell me until 9:20pm.  She spent the day calling around to find someone else (rather than calling me)  Now we have to fly in a judge from Delaware and pay for car rental.  There went any hope of making a profit for the show.

Not too much going on today, allergy shots, work. It's 67 right now, but 90% humidity. Though, it's only going to be 85 today. Then there's the fair tonight. There are so many hours separating me from my funnel cake. They have hotdog pig races, which is pig racing through a maze, and then they also race dachshunds. They also have something called Mutts Gone Nuts that I've never seen, but the caption for it says canines and comedy collide. I imagine my niece should be pretty thrilled with that and the Hot Dog Pig Races. I just want to be done with work already. Actually, I wish it was my birthday week already. I have my birthday off, and I'm going to Dorney Park and probably the Chinese Buffet, I think I only have an hour of work Tuesday because one of the kids will be away. Wednesday and Thursday are fairly busy, Friday I have to work in the morning, then the dogs and I, and a friend are off to West Virginia. We're going to travel with the team to a flyball tournament, and hopefully Luke will do well on Friday night so he can start racing soon.

    ROFLMAO!

No, sadly it was purchased in Lapeer, MI, about 1.5 hrs south of me. I did, however, split the cost of one ticket with Jake. Didn't get one number. So much for my plans for a vacation and new siding.

I can't wait to hear about bugsy's visit today.

It is safe to say that I hate life today. Last night was pure hell. I got the on call doc to call in some tylanol with codiene but when I got to the pharmacy, he didn't leave all the info they needed to fill it so they paged him, which he never answered. The pharmacist was a low talker and wouldnt stand in front of me to talk (she would talk from across the room) so I was making her repeat herself like 5x before I sort of understood what she was saying. I finally got ahold of the doc myself but then she wouldn't take the info from him on my cell phone, he had to call their line. Of course she didn't pick up the phone so she still didn't get the info she needed so I had to call the doc again and have him call her AGAIN. All the while, I could not hear a damn thing and was in agonizing pain. After 1.5 hrs I finally got my script filled only to have the T3 not help with the pain at all. I called the doc again and they caled in some vicodin plus another antibiotic to take on top of the one I am already taking. I sure hope all this works. I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone and it hurts the most when I lie down so it makes it hard to even get any rest.

    ^ pity party.

Julie, this just sounds awful! I sure hope the meds start to help today. (((hugs)))

Paige, good wishes for a successful show and no more cancellations!

Not much exciting here. I need to mow the yard and weed the garden. Everything seems to have grown overnight with the rain we got yesterday!

Hugs for all who need them.

Deb....rotflmbo!!!  I had to share this one with the girls at work they got a big kick!   We actually played the last 3 drawings as a group...boss is glad we didnt win even though we all promised to give him 2 weeks notice  Wink

Well...the estimates roll on.  So far HVAC is pricey but about what we expected.  Got the first roof estimate last night, well it was way off the wall crazy.  About double what we expected.  Sooooo since we didnt win the Power Ball guess we may have to re-think the roof situation.  We still have 2 more roof estimates and 1 more HVAC.

Expecting a cold front this evening with rain and cooler temps, hope it makes it this far south.

Quick question, if what I had a few minutes ago was anaphylaxis, I would have died by now, right? For background, I got my allergy shots this morning at about 9:30. I was driving to work, and all of a sudden I'm feeling like I can't breathe, and I should get off the road, and call my mom. There was nowhere to go right there, so I kept driving, dug the epi pen out of my bag, an focused on breathing. Till I got to where I could pull over, I felt okay so I kept going. I think I may text my sister (who is a nurse) hopefully she will answer, and see what she thinks. I feel Okay now, but shook up a bit.

Paige, I've been in your shoes as far as the judging cancellation and last minute replacement.  You should try bringing an out of state, last minute judge into Texas.  Too bad they didn't contact you sooner so you might have found a closer judge.

    Be good at Duke, Bugsy.

Tina, I know you would have called me if you'd won the powerball since we have that signed contract thingy.  You did get a copy of that, right? lol

Nothing much new here.  Found out that the original ATT guy lied about what we'd have on our new plan here at work.  I'm getting ready to call him now.

Gin, we had a new roof about eight years ago.  It took us three roofers to find someone we trusted and who had a decent price and even at that it was expensive.  I think those blue tarps look nice. Stick out tongue We took advantage of the fact that we'd had hail storms a few months before and our insurance paid for all but the deductible.  Even though the roof was old, since it did have damage from hail, the insurance covered it.

Glenda, I thought you wrote that maybe now you could bathe instead of breathe. lol

I would call the doctor who does the allergy shots and tell them about the reaction and how long after the shot you felt like you couldn't breathe.

    I second this.

Jackie, if I'd won, per our agreement, I'd have called you from airport - on your end. Wink
