Good Morning all. It's THURSDAY!! We're getting so very close!

I GOT TO STAY HOME LAST NIGHT!!!! I've really enjoyed all the stuff we've been doing, but it was soooo very nice to stay home and have the evening to catch up with myself!

And we're getting so very close to Saturday! I'm really excited about the Film Festival. My "spare son" #1 has worked so very hard for this, and he deserves to have every bit of the spotlight and just an awesome night. I'm very excited for him. However, the sperm donor is threatening to show, and that has Chris upset and bothered. I told Chris that I will do everything I can to keep him from causing a scene because HE isn't getting enough attention, even if it means I have to sit down and have a drink with him and walk down memory lane. (Vomiting at the thot). But, darn it, this is CHRIS's night. Ya give me a spare son or two and I just turn into a momma bear!

Hopefully, the call from the attorney telling the jerk that he is NOT invited and not welcome will drive home the point. Yep, the young man went THAT far! This jerk fathered four sons and not one of them has any kind of relationship with him. That should tell him that HE is the one doing something wrong. Sadly, it doesn't tho.

Guess I'll hope for the best (a no show) and prepare for the worst (having to be NICE to him), and NOT let it spoil the anticipation fo the show!

Honeydew melon for breakfast = yummy!

Another day of Bizarro World weather - mid-60s and rain, not expected to get much warmer than 70. Usually these are the "dog days".

Our dog guest is very well behaved. Buddy seems intent on getting into the dog food container because apparently I starve him. I definitely don't want that - the dog gets fed Beneful. I know, I know. All I can say is the stuff stinks. I don't need Buddy's butt exploding from it.

I have a dentist's appointment at 4 so I guess I should start working myself into frenzy now.

That's what I would do. Actually, I would have been doing that days ago. I'm waiting for my dentist to call me back. My previous student dentist is gone now, so now they have to give me a new one.

No idea about the film festival but I don't dress up for much. Pants and a nice shirt is about as far as I would go.

I almost started a new thread because the title of this one threw me off lol. I think my brain ruptured when my ears did. My comprehension skills are subpar this week and it is embarrassing!

It was in the mid-70s when I was driving in this morning and will be in the 100s for the next few days. I just got an email that there's a dog walker's mtg at HB on Sunday at 1:45. Our meetings are outside and it's a covered pavillion but it's going to be crazy hot at that time - blech!!

DH has been getting up around 5ish and takes Shane for a walk. When he comes back, Shane is nice and tired and jumps back up on the bed to sleep and it makes it even harder for me to get up. It's usually still coolish then too, so sleeping in always seems like such a wonderful idea. Sleep

I'm taking tomorrow off, so today is my Friday. Woohoo!!!

I'm dressed nicer than usual today because I'm at a school to meet the principal of someone I am going to do supervision for. So, I put on my nice looking stuff, and when I came up, my niece goes "ooh". Yeah, I know I never wear stuff this nice looking.
