Beautiful here today as well, but going to get unpleasantly humid, with only a 20% chance of rain.  This is my South County day, so will sort of be on the road myself.  Certainly not as far as you are going Julie!

I need to get moving, but, darn it, moving requires energy and I don't seem to have much this morning.

Sheba continues not to do well.  The vet could find nothing wrong with her despite lots of blood work and an extensive examination.  Something is not right with our girl and I wish we knew what it was so we could fix it.  She'll eat a bit, if I mix meat in with her food, but she's not eager to eat.  She did finally poop last night.  And drinking is not an issue, she's drinking more than she normally does.  But, again, no infection found.  Very frustrating.

Off to start the day.  Hope everyone has a good day!

From late yesterday, Tracy's post: "a new kind of Ben & Jerry's -- Greek Frozen Yogurt, Raspberry Chocolate Chunk". Tracy, I fully intend to stop at the store tonight and look for this flavor.  It sounds delish!

Hope everything is ok with the baby.

Julie- thoughts for your co-workers baby.  It may just be taking some time to induce or they had the baby and haven't announced it yet.  Our friends did that - told the world they were going in and then no contact for 2 days.  They had the baby a few hours after they went in and then were just totally overwhelmed.

Enjoy the weather in the UP.  I've only crossed that bridge once and it totally freaked me out.  Let's just say, I take the tunnel to Canada since even that bridge freaks me out.

Glenda - I hope you find out what's going on with Sheba.

Nothing much going on here.  Made a decision last night and hubs and I are heading to Mexico in September.  Just a quick 4 day trip but I am so excited!

 totally peeved - got a text at 8:07 that they cancelled the hours I usually teach today. Its only today not the standing engagement but I am cash poor this month and hate losing the money.

Another cooler day but swamp-like humidity - due to get rain and storms all day

Now to find another way to make some cash

It's pouring rain here, which is grea,t except for how it messes up our work schedule.  I couldn't get back to sleep after waking up at 2:30 this morning.  Sleepy and grumpy are not a good way to start the day. 

Julie, I'd love to see that view.  Sorry about your tire delay and the govt idiocy. 

Karen, sorry about your class getting cancelled.  Rent Bugsy out for vermin control for some extra cash. :)

Forgot what else I was going to comment on.  Wish I could pass on some of this rain to those that need it.

Lisa, I smiled at your freaky bridge comment. I love the Mackinac bridge! Our bridge guy at work is making arrangements for us to go up to the top. I can't wait. There's a little 2 person elevator that takes you up most of the way, then you get out and climb a little ladder to a platform waaaaayyyy at the top. Seriously, that will be an amazing view.

I would die but probably for a different reason than you think.  The elevator ride would be the worst thing possible.  No way!!!  Once I was up there it would be awesome though.  Quirky tidbit though, my dad tells me that my cousin's company helped lay the cement for the bridge - shocking I know an Italian in the cement business LOL

Good thoughts for Sheba, mama and baby, and everything else I've missed.  And for my baby to stay napping for once :)

Deb, even worse than first day back after vacation - I am dreading my first day back to work after twelve weeks.... ugh.  There's no catching up to do, it will be just starting over I think.  I've been checking my email occassionally, but no one is really emailing me so there's nothing to keep me in the loop.  Not that I mind, LOL.  I am so unprepared to have to go back to work though. 

It's 85 outside and I'm sitting inside with sweatpants and a zip hoodie.... goober baby runs warm like DH so I keep the air on a little lower than I prefer.  So much for dressing your baby in as many layers as yourself.

I've got nothing else outside of spit up and baby poop LOL.

 Julie, I hope everything is ok for your coworker and the new baby. Healthy baby and momma vibes.

 My BFF is due August 9th, and we're doing a birthday dinner July 30th for me and my dad, which she is invited to.  We made it a place close to her hospital in case she needs it, but she may go early.  Last baby, she was due the first week of January and had the baby at Thanksgiving b/c of preeclampsia.  I went through a very bad time that same week and have feared that my poor BFF was so worried about me that it caused the high BP, etc.

Spent yesterday at my sister's camp, cleaning their boat.  Then we went out on the lake so I could go for a swim.  Along the way, BIL stopped to talk to a pilot he knows who was landing a plane on the water.  BIL is an air traffic controller and used to fly planes like these and others.  So we sat there listening to the story from several years ago of a fellow pilot who got sucked out of the back of a small airplane when a door opened up, yet he hung on to the door right through the landing of the plane-  hanging out flapping around on the stairs of the door like an American Flag..

I just found a link to the story in Yankee magazine!  Weird and amazing that the guy survived.
