I love the way the allergy meds fight the allergies.  What I don't love so much is waking up feeling like I really tied one on the night before and having trouble even waking up.  Takes HOURS to feel halfway human, but, I don't sound like I have the plague and my throat isn't as sore from the constant, dry, hacking cough, so I guess putting up with the hang over affect is worth it.

I can't stand that feeling. Actually, one of the meds I have, if I take it too late, I won't get up for 10 hours at a minimum. 

Speaking of allergies, my right arm still hurts.  I'm also tired because I was up ridiculously late. I'm not entirely sure how late though, but I saw at least part of the rebroadcast of the 11 PM news, and that comes on at 1:30. I got up again at 5:45. We're headed over for Luke's therapy visit soon. Then later I'm going to get lunch with my mom and her friends. One of them I have never met, the other one I love (which is why my mom invited me to come). Luke was going to go swimming later, after his therapy visit and before lunch, but I think he's going to have to skip that as it's a bit chilly for him, only about 70, and it's supposed to rain.

Sorry and thanks for the warning.

I'm in a great mood today even though I'm swamped with work.  I got a good night's sleep andwe got fantastic news about DH's promotion.  We went out to eat to celebrate last night.  We rarely eat out during the week.  Unfortunately the food was disappointing but the mojito I had was great and made up for the food.

Deb, family stuff sucks.  I'm kind of pissed at several of my family members right now but that's pretty normal.

They mowed our fields!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A very pleasant surprise. Still had to knock a couple of ticks off my legs but that is because I wore shorts because I thought we couldn't go in the fields.

Hubby and I spent the evening at the E.R.   He got stung on the lip by a wasp Sunday evening, he swelled alot.  Yes, I couldnt help but laugh at how big his lip got.   We watched him closely and it seemed to go down some before bedtime.  When I got home from work last night there was lots of swelling on one side of his face and moved down his neck.  Well....just to be safe  (he has so many other medical issues) we decided to go get it checked out.   All is ok, they said he had a local reaction and it caused the lymphnodes to swell.  So, I think that is the first time ever that I have taken him to the hospital and they didnt keep him.

DH & our guest are going on a Segway tour in downtown Raleigh. It is very overcast and drizzly with potential storms. I hope the storms hold off for them but I will admit that I would kill to be hiding somewhere to take pics of DH trying to balance on a Segway.........

Congrats to Mr. Jackie on the big promo  . . . . how are you going to spend all the extra money Jackie??

Does anyone like PF Chang's? I went last night with a friend, because she insisted upon going. I went once or twice years ago, and I have never been back. It was horrible. I had Kung Pao Chicken, and it tasted sweet. It was not spicy AT ALL. There were 0 vegetables in it. For the amount they charge in there, at a regular Chinese place, I would have had twice as much food (not that I would have wanted any more, the only thing we finished was the white rice, then we went over to Panera to get some edible food). It was after 7 when we went, and the place was packed. I don't get it. Why does anyone like this crap?

Jackie - I'm super happy for your husband and for you. Congratulations!!

Jen - I've never understood all the hype about P.F. Changs either. I especially don't understand why people would be willing to wait so long for a table. I don't remember the food being really great or really bad but I knew it wasn't good enough to go back and deal with the long wait, especially when there are so many other options.

Ginger - I actually shuddered at the thought of getting stung by a wasp on my lip. They'd probably have to do CPR on me . I'm glad your husband is okay.

I "liked" a dog rescue site a few weeks ago and yesterday the guy posted that one of the 2 pitbulls he'd recently brought home attacked the other and caused some major damage. He keeps saying how awful he feels that he wasn't home and I keep thinking what an idiot he is for not having them separated

Deb, I'm going to finally bite the bullet and have the carpet ripped out and put in tile.  Now I just have to pick out the tile which I could do in about five minutes but since DH will want to approve it, this will be a long process. I actually found some tile we both liked and have samples at home so maybe we can get moving on the project.  A possible added bonus is the house will be a mess and my relative won't be able to stay with us next month.

Gin, I'm glad your DH is ok and don't blame you for taking him in. 

Karen, I'm laughing at the mental picture of my DH on a segway but I would probably look like a drunken clown on one too. lol   Hope they enjoy their day.

I ate a PF Changs once and wasn't impressed.  I'm not abig  fan of Chinese food so have nothing much to compare them with.  I had lettuce wraps which were ok but very pricey, IMO.

 I haven't eaten there. There's one in Vegas, but when we go there for shopping, etc trips, we have our restaurants we like to go to, so rarely venture to anything new, lol

Ok I know I live in the woods in rural Arkansas but what is a segway???? and what is a PF Chang???
