Greatest dog toy EVER!!!

Does anyone use this as an outside toy?  I have one of those "balls within a ball" things and you can put treats in it, but no one is interested in it.  How is this thing holding up to the agressive chewers?  I also have the ones that you put the treats in and they try to roll it around the floor, but looking for something to let them outside with.  How well does it clean up?  I'm a cautious buyer, but it's looking better and better all the time.

I use it as an outside (in the garage) toy.  I'm feeding something that's pretty crumbly and not willing to have it dispensed all over my carpet.  It was fine in the garage and would be on a patio also, but I don't see that you could use it on the lawn.  I think the food would drop out and be hard to find in the grass.  I bought the largest one for my lab and there is no way in world she could ever get any part of her mouth around it to crush or break it.  She just nudges it with her nose and pulls it back with her feet.  The look on her face when the food drops out is priceless [:D]

We just got ours, I got the biggest one for Wes, he can't get it in his mouth to chew or break it - and he chased it around for 15 or so minutes before he was able to get the treat out...  I have to figure out what to put in there to keep his attention, but it seems like it is going to be great!  I think best on carpet (if the food isn't messy), since it is noisy, but could work on a hard floor inside or outside - although the treats might get lost in the grass...

Would the medium sized be too small for a lab sized dog?  Would the large be too big for the little dog?  I've got 2 muttley's, he is a 68lb lab sized and she is a 35lb basenji/cattle dog sized.  Trouble is that she will go get his kongs (which are larger) and play with those because she knows he won't mess with hers, they are harder and then she goes back and gets hers when she is done.

Get the biggest one.  My little Manchester plays with the biggest one with no problem.

I still think the curvy bacon strips are the best treats to use.  I put two whole ones in the ball.  You have to weave them in, and there is no way for them to come out.  Then I break one up into about quarter size pieces.  Once all the little pieces are out my dogs still push it around trying to get the whole ones out.  Since the whole ones never come out they push it around for hours.  When one dog stops the other starts.  I don't think that thing has stopped moving since it got here.

I have used it out in our backyard with no problems.  I actually prefer it outside.  I am teaching my border collie to play soccer.  I set up a little goal, and every time he pushes it through I reward him.  He is really getting the hang of it.

Oh Mic, you might have just sold me.....soccer with the dog!!!  You will have to tell me how to train them to do that!!!  The biggest one you think?  Ok, I'll have to look at getting one.  So, everyone else has had great luck with them, just like Mic?

When did you order yours?  If it's been a while I would call them.  I bought mine at a dog show, so I don't know how long it should take.

My friend ordered one and her dog is an insane chewer, destroys everything in about an hour (kong's, orka's -anything really)...She has been so impressed with it, she can't stop talking about it!  She's been in contact with Dave and he asked if he could use a picture of her dog with it!!

I ordered mine a few days ago but I'm in Canada - it could take up to 10 days...Dodger isn't a chewer so I am really looking at this as a way to keep him busy (if he can't pick it up then he can't bring it to me for help which is even better!!)[:D] I can't wait!!

Just an FYI - but it was about 2 weeks from when I ordered mine before I got it.  I was beginning to get worried because they sent me an email saying it had been sent and then I kept waiting.  I get the impression that the company is relatively small, so maybe that's the reason.

I really am so glad I bought it though.  Someone on this forum recommended the "chase & pull toy" and I bought that several months ago.  It too has been a lifesaver in this nasty weather we've had.

    Mine took like 5 days

My order took about a week to arrive.

Update: I stuffed the ball (I got the big 7" ball) till it was about 1/2 full with dried chicken and liver. Gracie is finally playing with it! I ordered my friend one (who has an italian greyhound and chihuahua) and she said the IG will play with it but the Chi won't.

I just went back to check my emails... I ordered it 10 days ago, but I only got the one email from them saying thanks for the order, please allow a week to 10 days for delivery. Would I have gotten another one when it sent out?

I guess I can call if I dont see them in the next few days cause that would be a few more than 10 days.

I checked my emails and I think I only got the one saying they'd received my order...That was on 3/17 and I got it in the mail on 3/30.  So - my mistake for thinking they mailed it on the day the emailed me.  They're probably overwhelmed with business from all of us.  Maybe Mic should get a commission [;)]

I absolutely agree.  I could have gotten a website from them, but that may have been shady marketing it on Idog.  I really just wanted people to have chance to get a cool toy.
