Julie - I remember your close encounter last year and how scary that was just to read about. I'd be furious at the neighbor for leaving trash out. If Sheba or anyone had gotten hurt, we'd have had to come there and beat the snot out of him.
Jackie - I am soooo happy for your cousin!! I hope she continues to get better and you two can make that road trip.
I brought Shane to work this morning. What a dream dog!!! He rides perfectly in the car (other than that he drools a bit). I stopped at Jack 'n the Box to get some breakfast and he was fine, even with the idiots with leaf blowers all around the car
. He came in, sniffed around and went to sleep behind my chair. I also managed to get a good night's sleep. I just used earplugs and hoped for the best. The night before, I'd woken up every time he moved and I couldn't have survived another night like that. My SIL is dropping off a crate today, so we'll at least have it if we need it. With his sweet personality and some training, I think he would be a good therapy dog, so I'm going to look into that.
I have a childhood BFF that was always the one to stay out of trouble, even when I didn't. She married a wonderful guy and had 2 beautiful children. She's always been someone I thought had the dream life. She told me last night that her oldest daughter (30) has just finished rehab for opiates and heroin and her son is just starting rehab for the same thing. So, once again I've learned that even those who seem to have the perfect life, have struggles just like the rest of us. I pray both her kids are successful with their rehab.
