Manic Monday Chat

Wow Cathy Shane is gorgeous!!  I know when we got Hot Shot with his huge feet and all that furr I thought he would weigh 200 lbs.  Turns out he usually stays around 125 lbs.  LOL, our Rottie weighed more than that :)

*Gulp* I sure hope he's not going to be 125 lbs!! Yikes, how much does Hot Shot eat?

Beautiful dog, Shane! lucky you and lucky Shane to have found each other. *S* Huggers from Ava and me.

It's not so bad...he eats kibble with water and sometimes a topper.  I fix Hot and Rock their meal 1x a day when I get home from work.  Other than that they get a treat for breakfast and who knows what else they get  when they are home all day with Dad...... He is pretty much as big as his paws indicate :)

Deep breathes Cathy!  LOL!  I feed five german shepherds and haven't had to hock the family silver yet......

 I'd love to go out for a bite...as I pull out some Schwan's.

My 3 1/2 yr granddaughter, Mackenzie, has pneumonia... I almost died of that in 7th grade, and I am so glad her parents took her to the doc today!  I don't think my parents had insurance or money, as Dad had just started his own heating business.  But I remember the doc coming to the house twice a day to check on me.  Someday I'll have to ask how they paid for that one...

I think he looks very much like a Golden in this picture and just the more creamy colored version. It's the head shot that usually looks so different. I'll try to get more pictures. Anyone know how to avoid the glowing eyes look when using the cellphone camera?

Awww, what a sweet photo!  How content he looks on his spiffy bed and with toys close by.  It must be very hard to resist burying your hands and face in that fur.  Even in a cellphone photo, it looks incredibly soft and thick!

Tonka weighed 125-130 lbs, and he ate about 3 cups of kibble a day (split into two meals), along with a spoonful of canned food.  His giant bags of food were not cheap, but we found that the high quality brands were better in the long run --- we could feed him less because they had better ingredients than the lower quality (cheaper) brands.  It costs more to feed such a large dog, but at least we didn't have 5, like Glenda.  Yikes! 

Edited to add:  Karen, if you were closer, you could join me and my friends us at our local Italian eatery tonight.  I'm always looking for excuses NOT to cook, so I'm glad I've got plans to go out tonight!

Karen, I'd head out now, but it would be tomorrow before we got dinner. I wish I still lived down there so we could grab a bite! Paige, are you feeling better? I hope so! 

Work was long today. Just finished three oral comprehensive exams. All went well, so that was a good way to end to the day. Off to grab a bite to eat.

Cathy he is very, very handsome and looks very golden to me - my neighbor's baby golden is very light colored as was her previous one and had the eyeliner :)

 Cathy, he is gorgeous!! Congrats! I agree, he looks very goldenesque. His coat looks a lot like one of the golden's on our team, Miles. He's a beautiful dog and probably about 75 lbs but mostly he is all fur. crazy thick fur. Shane doesn't look like he will get much bigger to me. His face has a smaller dog look to it.

I took a drive down the Columbia River Gorge since it was raining on and off after the conference let out. Wow, I think I died and went to heaven. It is so amazingly beautiful! 

He's beautiful - looks so soft.  He looks a lot like our Golden.
