    Manic Monday Chat

It's a good thing I don't have to be to work by 9:00, or at all  tomorrow, because it's 2:25 and I'm still up. I'm having the kind of night where I am debating not sleeping at all, or watching V for Vendetta. I have never seen the whole thing. It always puts me to sleep.

Ah to be young and able to stay up all night and still function the next day!  I have some recall of those days in the cobwebs of my mind....

Really pretty here today and the temps are supposed to be warmer.  Maybe spring will finally "sprung".  The grass has certainly riz......we've had to mow already.

Off for another fun filled Monday....ya'll have a great day!

Here I was last night complaining about all the stuff I have to get done today after work and during my lunch break... and I wake up with a stomach bug that is keeping me from work.  Of course, that also keeps me from getting my oil changed. Maybe I'll feel better and will make the trek in afterall, but right now I just want to sleep.

    Happy Monday all!

Had a nice relaxing weekend with my couch, my dog and my book.  I must have slept wrong last night because my back is killing me.

    That's all I've got.

I hope you feel better soon, Paige and Deb's back.

I bought some vanilla protein powder online. It's vegan, made from peas. But somehow I didn't expect it to be green! lol Sure looks unappetizing. I put a bit in my oatmeal this morning and I took about three bites. Kinda green sludge-ish. Tongue Tied I hate wasting food.

Considering it was the first night for Shane in his new home, he did amazingly well. He's pretty mellow anyway and just settled in very nicely. We gave him a bath and he looks even more fluffy and gorgeous. He literally wants to be everywhere you are, so that's made everything easier. He did start getting restless around 2:30, so I took him out but he didn't do anything. From then on, he slept off and on and so did we. Sleep I'm so glad I'm off today so I can work with him. I'll take him to work with me tomorrow and then DH will pick him up when he gets off on Wed. morning. You'd think he's an older guy but he does get these bursts of energy and can be a tiny bit mouthy. He's pretty funny when he's happy. He grabs a toy and runs away with a happy bark/growl. Very sweet!! He's not interested in the pool and I doubt he ever will be. I certainly won't encourage it :). He's also not overlly interested in the ducks, so that's nice. He'd been living up in the owners house for the last couple of weeks, so I think he got acclimated to home life vs. the kennel. I'll be anxious to hear what the cardiologist says but we're not really worried and will do all we can to make his life long and healthy.

Yuk and double yuk, Jano! I hate peas and not even calling them vanilla protein powder would make me go near them.

    Get well Paige!

Yesterday was my last day to walk dogs at the shelter until November because I'll be back at the track starting Saturday.

Congrats, Cathy, on bringing Shane home!

I am so happy for all of you Cathy! Big Smile

Paige & Deb feel better soon!

it's my brother's 50th, VERY hard to believe Cake

took B to the lake this morning and it wasn't a fun trip.

Janice they color lots of kids foods to entice them, I take it green wouldn't be your preference LOL

I took out my tent yesterday as I am intent on going to a bluegrass festival this summer and typically there aren't many places to stay nearby. Its been about a million years since I used the tent and wow it took me a bit to figure it out. Bugsy was very helpful and as soon as I got it up he went in it.

    Good luck Charlie

    OK work beckons

Lol Jan, there's no way that can tase good

Feel better Paige and debs back!

I went to bed at 8pm OR time last night (was so exhausted!) and woke up about 3am wide awake, ready to start the day. This time shift is going to kill me when I get home, I just know it. Anyway, I'm inpressed with Portland so far. It's very vibrant and VERY different than home. We walked along the river last night, stopped at the street market, listened to some street bands, did a lot of people watching and had dinner and drinks outside at a bar. Then we walked around some more, making our way in to the downtown area. Lots of cool little shops, not much was open tnough. Tonight I hope to go to the forst park, or whatever its called. They have some 80 hiking trails or something like that. It looks pretty from the photos on the internet. Hopefully it will be safe enough for me to walk alone (unless one of the guys I was with last night wants to go, but I doubt it)

I'm so glad you're liking it there Julie. I was there on business a couple of times with my boss/friend and we had a great time. Good food, wine, music, etc. I didn't want to say a lot on FB regarding the homeless situation but I remember thinking that it didn't seem as seedy or scary as other places I'd been. I also thought that had I run away as a teen, that's where I would've wanted to go - lol!!

No, not really. I ended up falling asleep some time between 2:30-3:30, after taking allergy medicine, I know because Grey's Anatomy was on, but I didn't see the end.  Luke decided we should get up at about 9:00.

I need to go to the library today, and maybe I will get a new fish for my tank today. I think I'm giving up on goldfish, but I want something big enough that I can train it, so I may very well end up with a betta in a 20 gallon tank.

I was wondering the same thing.

Had a fun Sunday with lots of animal people. Organization I used to be Treasurer for had their annual Open House Fundraiser Sunday. I do an agility demo, as if I get the interest I teach an agility fun class. People always enjoy watching the demo and I did get a few interested in a class, so will probably be starting one in the near future. Money goes to the organization.

haha no doubt Cathy. The homeless situation isn't scary at all. Not like it is in other cities. There's just a LOT of kids. Someone else had mentioned it was like this to me before. They also said that Seattle, WA is like this too. Must be the music bohemian scene that draws kids here.
