    Early Monday chat

Starting the next big project today so up early and off for a run in a minute

Very nice weekend which makes getting this week started a bit easier

Cathy I sure hope you have plentiful sunshine today (((hugs)))

Bugsy burped really loudly at about 3 last night - it woke me up and I said  "good boy" which woke up DH. It was ridiculous LOL

UNC won easily yesterday but it was disappointing to watch the other team repeatedly try to hurt their players. Eventually succeeding and taking out our point guard with a broken wrist. I've never seen this sort of thing in college basketball, hard play sure but one team playing football or roller derby was sad and that they succeeded in hurting a really nice kid and finishing his season at the least (surgery today) is angering. IN case you think I am biased check this 7 second video out LINK watch 00 in blue

My parents leave for FL this afternoon, so it's me, G & Z until the end of the month.  As Zoe finished her breakfast this morning, Gracie was ready for hers and Z gave G a lip curl.  This is gonna be a fun few weeks.  Wish us luck!

It is SUCH a pretty day.  I'm heading out to do more yard work (and please, no nagging....friends and family are riding me so hard I'm starting to feel like a two dollar h....er)  I'm taking it slow and easy, but gosh darn it, the fresh air and sunshine are GOOD for me.....much better than going through papers or listening to old cassettes that cause me pain.  Yep, I'll get to those things, but I really don't need to OD on grief.....it's always there.  And, the sun is shining, the temps are nice and playing in the dirt makes me HAPPY.  I deserve some happy and by golly, I'm gonna take it.

    Wishing everyone HAPPY today!

Glenda, glad you've got some nice weather going on.  No nagging from here as I think working in the garden is great therapy for the soul.  :)

Karen, that was a terrible foul. Angry I hope that kid got kicked out of the game.

I thought I'd be pretty sore today after all the work we did in the yard, etc. but not too bad.

We're supposed to get some storms later today or tonight or tomorrow.  lol  It's looking pretty threatening right now.  Bring on the rain as we need all we can get before we head into full blown Summer.

sadly the refs didn't even call a foul! Hmm

Gorgeous morning! Trees of pink, purple and white abound plus all the baby leaves coming out. I would enjoy it even more if I was allergic hahaha

Well the foster pup is really feeling his oats and B really needs to teach him a lesson but he won't. The pup is getting very possessive of his toys and really growls and snaps if a human or B goes near him. I showed the very inexperienced foster mom how to swap food for the toy which worked but I do think it would be better if B just took it off him or at least growled back. I did coax him into taking it off the pup yesterday but if its just them he lets the pup have it, shrugs.

    OK work work work!!

Glenda, you won't get any repercussions from me...gardening is good therapy, and sunshine and fresh air good for fighting depression.  That is the first thing I always do...plant some flowers!  But veggies will do also!

My 5 yr old granddaughter goes in for surgery bright and early tomorrow morning in Atlanta.  She was born with a clubbed foot, had surgery as an infant, but needs more...2 of them, in fact...the second will be in 10 days.  I know she will be OK, but it is hard not to worry anyway.  My son is taking her, as Mommy has had a bad case of vertigo since becoming pregnant with her 3rd child.  The docs can't find a reason for it, perhaps allergies.  It is a good thing that he has always been so involved with the children, because I'm not sure most men could handle this alone.  I wanted to go with him, but with my bad back and an overnight sitting in a chair, I don't want to give him another person to worry about.  Anyway, some prayers and good vibes for Allie would go a long way!  Smile

Good luck Allie. Make sure you mooch off daddy for everything you can get since I'm sure he'll be feeling sorry for you.

I need to empty out my car between today and tomorrow so I can pack it up and have room for all the chocolate I'll be buying in Hershey. I actually have nothing that really needs to be done today. No work, no schedule today. It's crazy!

Me, too, but only b/c I'm going to pick up a member of the committee to bring her to our meeting tomorrow.  She cannot drive and is undergoing chemo.  I'm bringing her to visit a litter of puppies before our meeting, as she requested.  She's such a nice tough lady taking care of herself and also her nearly 90yr old father by herself.  He's not bouncing back from his recent bout w/his congestive heart failure like he has before.  I feel like this show is so unimportant compared to what she's enduring, but I know it gives her something else to think about w/the dogs.  She's not telling too many folks about her treatment and condition.

Good thoughts and prayers for Allie's surgery tomorrow.

Karen, I showed that video clip to Charles and he said he hoped the kid at least got a flagrant foul called.  He won't believe they called nothing.

I got into a little back and forth disagreement with my dentist on Saturday.  He asked me if I'd noticed all the mesquite trees blooming and described the flowers.  I told him that wasn't mesquite blooming, it's huisache trees.  He insisted it was mesquite and I insisted it was huisache.  I let it drop since he was so sure but I think he's better at dentistry than tree identification.  lol

Jackie, you were wise to let it go.  Never argue with a person who has the tools to drill your teeth.

Day off from jury duty - no court on Mondays I guess, but will be back in the box tomorrow.  I am trying to get 4 days worth of work into about 4 hours.  My boss' mom died so I need to visit them at the house this afternoon for Shiva all the way on the west side of the city...rush hour should be a joy.

This weekend was so nice, when Riley and I returned from the park on Sunday I fully expected DH to be watching a baseball game...alas the season doesn't even start for two weeks!

I agree with Tina, never argue with someone about to drill in your mouth.

    Vibes for Allie!

    Take care everyone!
