Springy Thursday!

Ack... I'm writing a letter of interest for a job, and I don't know if the person I am writing to is male or female (foreign name, I suspect female, but I am unsure). They contacted me about this, and I am really not completely sure where they got my info from. I suspect the referral might have come through a former professor, since the company is affiliated with his company. I wasn't really looking, but the pay rate, if that's serious, is very good. The email claims they have contacted me within the last 6 months, but I don't remember this name. Anyway, what's the way to go if I don't know the gender of the person?

edited to add... I looked up the name on google (duh). I found a baby registry under that name, and the other person is definitely a man. Given that the registry has a breast pump on it, I think I can safely assume that this is a female (hey, it could be a registry for a gay couple, but I think that says it's not).

Gender neutral? To whom this may concern?
