    Thursday chat

34 years ago today I gave birth to Mike.  Today I leave for his funeral.  Happy Birthday son.

Hugs, Glenda...prayers for a safe trip for you and your family and friends.  Our hearts are with you...

Soooo, guys?  How about a happy chat today?  I'm betting the newest Angel would like that.

Safe travel vibes, Glenda.  Hope the weather is ok for your drive.  Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

We had a nice nice rain yesterday.  Some areas north of us got up to 6 inches.  We got three badly needed inches of rain.  Back yard is a mud pit which the dogs just love. I'm not quite as excited about it as they are.  On the West side of town a small tornado did pretty severe damage to some homes.  Luckily no one hurt.

I have an eye doctor appointment this afternoon to check my problem eye.

Warm thoughts and safe travels, Glenda.

Jackie, kind of a bummer you just shampooed all your carpets and now you have mud.  Figures, huh?

I hope everyone who has been sick is starting to feel better.

I'm kinda thinking that as badly needed as that rain was, carpets are gonna run a very slow second?

Ouch glenda, today is his birthday? Sheesh

I read about the rain and tornados Jackie and was thinking of you. When it rains, it storms! Literally!

I have nothing much to add today. Its gloomy out. Typical MI jan weather. And it is a typical day at work...meaning I have to travel a short distance. I am driving myself though and will spend the lunch hour with the dogs at the state park that is next to where this meeting will be held. How is that for creative lunch houring?

Now, if only this coffee would drive away the cob webs

    Safe travels, Glenda & Family.

Good luck at the eye doc, Jackie.

I slept like a rock for the first time in months last night.

Apparently I forgot to turn the TV off last night. I woke to the sound of N Gingrich talking in my living room. That may explain the nightmare. I didn't scream, but it was discomforting.

Off for a tour of the ocean. Apparently we get our own oar, and a porthole view. Hopefully, the driver knows what he is doing. Piper will be visiting my daughter. Maybe the kids will good for her. She gets a little nervous around grabby kids.

Discovered that I am getting old. After a morning of lifting, swinging, and emptying bags of sand into a pool filter, my back is a little sore. I would retire, but the work list at home includes a basement remodel. My wife is looking at color chips and tile. Help.

Safe travels Glenda. Today, I'm lounging mostly. I feel like crap, yesterday when I was driving home, I couldn't wait to get home and get a sweatshirt. Later on I was sweating. I'm freezing to death though. Last I checked, I was 96.5. I can't tell if my Mom was joking about going to the doctor. I mean, I just started to feel sick last night, I have no fever, if I had a cold, there's nothing that could be done. If I had a flu, there's nothing that could be done, seeing as I had a dystonic reaction to Tamiflu. The only solution is to lounge around today, and hope tomorrow I wake up and feel better.

Glenda -- good prayers & thots for safe/good travel today.  Glad Ryan is going with you.

Little bit of good news for me -- David & I are going down to Sarasota (about 5 hrs away) the 1st weekend in Feb to go to the HIghland Games there.  Actually it's almost an excuse to kennel the dogs for just 2 nights -- Charlie's never done that and I want to avoid angst for him.  Luna LOVES LOVES LOVES Miss Emily's Bed & Biscuit and she'll be good at "big sister".

I've been trying to find out if the Sarasota games are still dog-friendly (so many are NOT any more) -- and I got definitive word yesterday they DO still welcome dogs.

**SO THE PUG GETS TO GO**

It will be excellent training for her, fun for us -- with a wheelchair it's impossible to bring all 3.  With one it will be easy and fun. I'm stoked!!  I can't wait to see what she wants to pack the fairy dust in!! LOL

Discovered that I am getting old.

I've discovered the same.  I finally broke down and started wearing the reading glasses I bought a year ago, so now I can actually see my paperwork clearly again.

Glenda the angels are singing a beautiful song for your Mike today.....He will be watching over you as you travel.

So yesterday I had a chiropractor appointment. My mom was watching the kids. I came home and she was getting ready to go (she was going to dinner with some friends, usually she stays and hangs out.) Suddenly my mom says, "PEEEE-U Rupert, you stink!" Willa kind of gave me a sideways glance and I didn't think too much of it. Then a bit later I smelled it again, and Willa announced that it was her. LOL! When she gave me that glance she was probably like, wow, I can blame this on the dog? Big Smile
