Yeah, it's always the one that can't argue back that gets the blame LOL.

Do we have any idoggers in LA? We have a bit of unplanned time during our trip next week if anyone wanted to try to plan a meal!

Hahaha I've never been to Arkansas so that might be fun sometime Smile Unfortunately, I don't think the plane will stop just for me to come to supper!

We're doing a couple days in Las Vegas and about six days in Los Angeles.

I didn't catch the news today, so this is the first I heard about any tornadoes but I'm glad you're okay Jackie.

I started the day off with a dental cleaning. Not fun but glad it's out of the way. It's gloomy and gray but seems to fit my mood today. I have tons of work and only a teensy bit of motivation.

Sending safe travel vibes to Glenda -- you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

I think it was Nicole who's heading to LA and Vegas, right? I'm quite jealous. Have a great time! I was just saying to DH a couple days ago that we need a weekend trip somewhere like that just to have a couple days of sunshine. January is always a tough month here, but the past couple weeks with the rain, wind, and flooding have me feeling extra sluggish!

Doug, your posts always make me chuckle. If your back was only "a little sore" after all that work you described, then you're in darn good shape. If I pull weeds for an hour, I walk hunched over the rest of the day and have to take Aleve or ibuprofen! Sadly, I've had that problem for years -- even before I technically became "old."

Buried in 1099 forms here . . . preparing them is not my favorite work task, that is for sure!

I'm feeling mostly better now, so the dogs will get their practice on Flyball stuff tonight, and I will probably head into Philly tomorrow and attend a workshop. Well, as long as the traffic isn't horrible. Right now, coming out towards where I live is horrendous. It would be probably 2 hours instead of 1. I'd like to go, but not if it's horrible. Anyway, now I'm pretty much just sneezy, congested,with a bit of a sore throat. I'm no longer freezing or sweating. Btw, can The republicans just pick Romney already? I'm tired of the stupid primaries and debates. No new Grey's Anatomy this week? Why?

UGH we have to replace our commode downstairs, it is one of those that sits on a pedestal put in here l9 years ago, no the commode is not that old. It is leaking around the base, the sink is also connected to it. So what does DH do? he runs water in the sink so we had a flood all over the floor, grrr he always has to be running in there when he knows it doesn't work. What a mess that was. Plumber not coming until Wednesday. My plumber lives next door and that is his business. *S* I'll be glad when it is fixed. It's been a mess.

i do not like storms and worse ........... either ....

nor do the dogs ...........

storms any where in this area ..........

wind all but one of the six dogs up ..........

makes for a very interesting noisey night ........... here

husband always sleeps thru them .............

so much for him being the protector

Commode, i chuckles when I read that. I haven't heard the toilet referred to as a commode in forever! I like it! Its much more dignified

Its pouring here. Havent we had enough rain this winter? This weather is so weird.

Abbie is suddenly afraid of traveling in the car crate again. We went thru this before then she loved her car crate. Now all of the sudden she is stress panting and anxiety ridden again. I can't figure out what is going on. She just went to the vet too and got a clean bill of health. The crate is a bit more rattley lately. I wonder if that is it.

Julie - see what she does to get in the crate and be in the car in the crate when the car is NOT running. Let her get comfortable. See if her attitude changes when the car is running. You can also try sitting w/her in the car, no crate, not running, to see what she has to "say" about it once she's comfortable enough to get in.

I'm working late and taking a brief mental break.

Glenda, I'm really glad you got there safely. My sister is driving the roads ahead of you - she should be near her destination tonight, so you've both been on my "safe travels" requests to the angels.

Reminds me, I accidentally pocket-dialed my grandmother. I wish I'd saved a voicemail that her her voice on it. Glenda, it's a beautiful thing to have recording of your son's voice, expressing his talent for music.
