Plain old Thursday

    Plain old Thursday

It's after midnight and this is the only way *I* get to even post much this week LOL  I'm still up waiting for laundry.

Jan -- that was the cutest pic of Willa -- snowmen are one of the FEW good uses for snow.  It makes me laugh -- Charlie has settled into warmer weather SO easily.  When we had that couple of cold days last week, he was ... not happy!  "If I just hold it will it get warmer out?"

Jackie -- can I come over and play with your dogs?  Luna says she wants to play.  Tink wants to visit Texas.  And Charlie just wants to 'be with'.

Karen -- good luck with your Mom.  Better you than me ... mine doesn't even want us to visit up there ... much less come *here*.

Our weather is supposed to get colder this weekend (of course it's the weekend of the Highland Games -- buncha guys tossing around telephone poles with kilts on ... most of the Floor-da ones wearing bike shorts underneath? should be interesting)

But I've got the coffee on you guys -- but you're on your own for cream!

Owing to my way too long nap, I am still up. Luke is on the roster for CGC testing Saturday night. Umm... They said for not everyone to arrive at 6:30, uhh... If you don't assign times, how will we know if we are all planning to show at the same time? I wish I had some pizza.

Oh geeze.  Another morning show gal is sick.  I so hate these early, early mornings!  But, at least she gave DH a bit more warning....she called at 3:45 instead of when he would have to rush out the door without a shower.  There is that.

But, boy it's gonna be a very long day for BOTH of us.

Sure hope everyone else has a good day, more sleep and no weather they don't want.  We are getting snowed on good right now!

Its 37 and raining which means the freeways could be icy and of course i am on the road again today. Very much not looking forward to this. Especially after 5 hrs on the road yesterday. And I'm tired! Whoa is me.

Can this week be over already?

Safe travels, Julie.  It just started raining here in MtP.

The local school district is closed until Tuesday due to a severe viral outbreak.  Glad I don't have a school-aged kid anymore.

Jano, from yesterday, Willa sure is one cute kid!

Mountains of work, thought I'd get more done yesterday until the Amex bill mysteriously appeared on my desk with a due date of today. Now I have to catch up on the rest of the crap.

It's cold here and the wind is howling but no rain, so the roads aren't dangerous.  I'm having lunch with a friend today and plan on making it a long lunch. I need a break from the grind.

    Safe driving vibes Julie.

rain has cleared here and the sun is shining - strong breeze but going to be in the 60's later - then some cold is coming our way. Nothing awful so no complaints!

Unfortunately the rain and storms we had have hit NYC so mom's flight is already delayed

Beastie had a lovely walk - met 5 of his friends and one came back and played for a few minutes.  Hopefully that will sort him out for a while

No one has claimed the Irish Setter but it looks like the sister of the person who found him is going to keep him if no one claims him. So it looks like he'll have a nice family for a forever home.

OK off and running - be safe all and have a good day

It's rainy, but not cold here today. I took extra work today and tomorrow, because one of the kids is off of school, and someone else has cancelled for two weeks because she has mono. How an adult gets mono, I do not really understand. I'm not really excited about this, but I think his sisters, or rather, his little sister and all the other little neighborhood kids should be in school so that I don't have to deal with all of them being in the house. But really, why do they have two days off of school this week? MLK  Day is Monday, if they are having off for that. There is no reason to have these days off. Actually, I just checked the school calendar on the web, and it doesn't appear that they have the days off. Ummm... I know he had his tonsils out on Monday. I wonder if they're just keeping him home maybe, but don't  want him to do nothing all day/don't want to  deal with him all day.

Oh fun driving out there!  The road crews were doing really well, but then the snow stopped for a bit and came back that lovely mix of everything under the sun!  BLECH!  Last time out it was wind driven sleet, almost big enough to be hail.

    Stay safe everyone!

Thanks Callie and Tina! We got about 4" of new snow overnight, supposed to get more throughout the day. So we should be able to go out after nap time to make some more snow friends, and replace Mr. Snowman's nose... I think a deer ate it. lol

Safe travels, Julie! Watch out for the crazy drivers.

*holds out mug to Callie* Fill 'er up, please!

Here, Jan (glug glug) -- *grin*  I'll hand you some Walker's shortbread, too.  (hey -- my husband's a Scot -- we actually order FROM Walker's.  Shortbread is a staple at our house LOL.

Yesterday was dull all day (unusual for FL) and today at least there's sun.

    Back to demand letters.

So, I just got an email to cancel work for the 27th. Guess that means now I'm free to go to Philly and attend a conference that day. I'm glad to see registration for that day is the same price as if I had pre-registered. Hopefully, the weather is agreeable. It looks like a good number of friends should be there, so I really hope it doesn't decide all of a sudden decide to start acting like winter.

They get it the same way teenagers do.  Old does not mean dead.

Stepped out this morning and took a deep breath-my nose hair froze.  It just may be winter.  The ground is white, the thermometer is low, the wind is strong.  Finally.

I know, I know. She's not even that old though. More so, I'm just tired of working with people who can't show up consistently because of stupid things, like getting mono.

I am also annoyed because the person who bought my old phone on ebay cancelled the payment. Scumbag.

I just cancelled my audible.com membership, which I didn't even realize I had. Apparently I bought one book, and they signed me up for that. I used it so much, I had 6 credits sitting in the account (which I used up before cancelling). Now I just need to cancel my gym membership.  I should just have all that money go to savings automatically. It's  only $35 a month between the two, but I was spending $35 a month and not using those, so I can have $35 a month go to savings I think.

Thanks for the clarification, lol, there is hope for the members of the "old Broads Club"  afterall Wink

Very cold, very windy, just a dusting of snow.... burrr.  Supposed to warm up to the 50's again by the weekend.

FYI;  Rocky is starting to get a little pep in his step again.   He even went into the bathroom to gather a towel to take to the laundry room (his job) then got his praise and went to get his new stuffie doggie and parade around the house with it :)  This is more normal activity.   Still have no clue what exactly happen and he is not quite all the way back to normal but at least he is back to work , ha!
