I slept with the window open last night ..... that's how warm it was.  But I did manage to get some sleep !!

I had to step away from the self-help books and am reading Erik Larson's "In the Garden of Beasts" as recommended by Jackie.  It's really good so far.

Do you still need the rain?  Hopefully it doesn't cause any damage.  We're getting a big storm now too but it's not too windy or anything.

I went to get pretzels for lunch today, used a magnetic chip clip to close the bag, and then went to stick the magnet part back on the fridge, pretzel bag attached.  Doh!

Do you still need the rain? 

Yes, desperately.  All of Texas is in a state of extreme drought.  The devestation is widespread.  This rain won't change that but at least it will help a little. 

The first round of storms has passed but hopefully more to come.  I brought Twister to work today and he's in his crate with his thundershirt on. 

Tina, that book was very interesting to me because of the perspective of the people involved.  Like you I'm a bit of a history buff concerning WWII.

WARM here - nearly 70* currently. So strange since we woke up to 27* on Saturday

Captain Chaos was on form this morning  - just as we were leaving our cul de sac the owner of the choc lab (current main squeeze) was driving by - on their way home from the lake, wet dog in the back - WELL.............you know who was very excited to say hi and went berserk when the owner mentioned the lake (she knows that's one of those words you have to spell not say LOL).  She then headed off to leave and nut job ran alongside to catch up, she & I were laughing and I said OK we'll walk to your house and she started to drive off and whacko went faster LOL. So she stopped and we hopped in and the scene was absolutely hysterical.  Complete unadulterated chaos. That sort of laughter is a great way to start your day.

Now I must get some work done

We are supposed to get some needed rain here in SE Texas today too!  Yay!

Nicole...Texas..especially certain parts of it...are in such deep drought that it would take YEARS of more than normal rainfall to even out the numbers. It's bad...so yep...we need it. :)

Well then.  I shall send it all your way using my super duper spidey skills.  Oh, wait, I won't get those for another 6 months   I guess when DH was in LA, it was forcasted to rain, and they made it out to be the storm of the century for a little rain since apparently they don't often see it either.

Blah day - but only 1/2 will be spent in the office.  Heading over to a supplier's office for the rest of the afternoon.

DH just called, Riley decided to color our carpet with orange crayon...any suggestions?
