Some quote from that link I thought was funny:

Welcome to the TV world, I only wish the real world could fix things as easy as we see on TV. It may be my openion but Dr. Phil is a joke to me and his info is so totaly off, I guess you could say the same for other TV advice givers.

You have personal probelm go to a real consorlor, each person is different. Same with dogs, your dog has a problem, go to a real trainer.

Priceless. You get at least two points. Some may consider it snide but I find it hilarious, personal opinions of CM aside.

Oh great, not only is he trying to turn or dog's to submissive wimps who are a bomb waiting to explode but now he is brainwashing the people, hah ha. My mother said it right when she said "Cesear Milan dog training is for lazy people", haha! Get off oyur butt and communicate with your dog, not train it into submission. I rather have my dog run free while respecting me instead of being brainwashed into human ways.....its a dog bred from a wild animal, if you want submission get a cat!

Paul Owens (who used to be a member of the original idog years ago) wrote the book THE DOG WHISPERER
I can't say I think much of somebody ripping off someone else.

Let me take a shot at this one for you, cesarfan.

Let me preface my comments by saying that I have never watched a complete episode of Milan's show. I have watched bits of it while working out at the gym. I have found him to be entertaining. His show is interesting, to say nothing about his methods, which I am not qualified to address.

Just as there is more than one way to skin a cat, there is more than one way to train a dog. Most people here simply disagree with Milan's method.

My biggest problem with Mr. Milan's methods is that he uses the same method for every case.

My boyfriend and I were commenting on this the other day.... He uses the same techniques with every dog.

I have to admit, I do like to watch his show. I like it because it is about dogs, not because of the methods he uses, etc. I find, though, that I don't have the problems with my dog that those people have, so I don't need to use them.....

I gotta say...I love you guys!!!! Every other freaking board I'm on does nothing but PRAISE Milan, and I think he's full of crap! Quite honestly, the things he does are no different than what many of the instructors out at my kennel club do with certain dogs!

IMO, he's a trainer that is too much about "You're the boss" and not enough about "Bonding with your dog."

By the way, Paul Owens didn't have a copyright on the name Dog Whisperer, and....the book sucked. Give me Jane and Ian Dunbar anyday :-)

I think it's kind of amusing how rabid people on BOTH sides get about dog training. Some stuff works for some dogs that does not work for others--get over it and move on....

And I agree to some extent about pack behavior and alpha status. And some of the things that CM does I think do work. I only commented on Astarcheetah's comment because we slam each other at work all day with similar statements or worse and it tickled me. I meant no offense to the op nor do I always agree with Astarcheetah. I just appreciate a good turn of phrase.
