My sinuses have revolted so i called in sick today. As much as i dont want winter, i am looking fwd to less sinus trouble that comes with steady cold temps.

The last harry potter comes out on dvd tomorrow. Can't wait! I haven't seen it and am planning to get together with a friend of mine who also hasn't seen it to watch it!

hey, it's almost the weekend! Cool!

Sunny here this morning, but supposed to have rain coming in around noon. Guess I should make hay (mulch leaves) while the sun shines!

We ended up getting about 9" out of the storm. *sigh* I guess I have to accept that it's actually winter. For the next 6-7 months. I just wish I could find my gloves. Sad

I have a ton of work to do and ZERO motivation. Sleep

It's 28 here but no snow thank goodness.

I am so excited!!!! My daughter found out this week that she has to burn 3 days vacation (has 8 but can only carry over 5). She suggested that she come home for a few days to help me with my winterizing!!! Yea!!! I love her. I always do it myself but since the Electric audit found an incredible number of problems I need to address and weekends with one person would take forever. Anyway she said she was really being selfish cause she figured she could come help and get some time alone with me and her daddy :) Hubby said "What do I need to do?" I laughed and told him to plan the menu... :)

Due date today here at the Phone company..it's getting busy so I better go!

Piper is getting her teeth cleaned today. Unhappy camper. I think she had a day hunting planned when I called her to the truck this morning. When I left the vets, she was staring at me with "how could you" written in her eyes.

Getting some more new windows today. This should finish the main floor. I think I can do the walk out area myself.

Expensive day.

Quantities for one drink:

3 oz Vanilla Liqueur
1 oz Vanilla Vodka
2 oz Coca-Cola® Vanilla Coke
2 tsp Honey

Blending Instructions:

Shake ingredients with ice.

Got a little bit more sleep last night and feel almost human - at least a few brain cells seem to be functioning

I confess I am shocked and dismayed and confused by the Penn State stuff. I attended there before transferring for a different major. There is NO WAY to describe that campus - and I have attended or worked at U of Louisville, Indiana U, U of MD, and Virginia. I can't really get my head around the whole thing.

On a positive note its a gorgeous day - I was up early and walked with the young choc lab and owner. I love my solo walks but have gotten to love having someone to chat with too! Had my breakfast was getting the day started and Molly the goldendoodle arrived. Out he went for some fun. So now he is konked out and I should be doing something but would rather not LOL

I actually had trouble sleeping because of it Karen. As a survivor of abuse it really boggles my mind how many times adults know things, suspect things, or just have a "feeling" about situations or people and do nothing. It's really shameful and upsetting. In this situation they were all dealing with a known predator and they all just...whiffed on the pass. It's mind boggling and disturbing. Equally disturbing are the student rioting like there is anything to protest. WHAT...exactly are they protesting? Would they stand in front of the victim in the shower and tell the boy they don't think JoePa, or any of the others, did anything wrong?

Plus, I'm pretty sure as a school sports coach (be it college or not) he is a MANDATORY reporter. Just telling someone else at the school doesn't cut it.
