Wow, this week is speeding by. I slept like a rock last night, but did start waking in the wee, still not quite pre-dawn hours.
So far this week I've played lumberjack, gotten much of the back yard mowed and partially mulched, and done election coverage for the station. We have two giant maples in the back yard and another on the side that all dropped their leaves just before the 2 feet of snow fell, so mowing and mulching is a tedious job. What I've done already needs another go over to get the leaves to pretty much disappear into the grass, and there is still a little that hasn't been done.
DS has a job interview early this afternoon...fingers crossed please....and then he's going to help finish it up. I didn't ask him yesterday since he thinks its stoopid to worry about the leaves and gave me some grief about it Sunday, but, the grass does need mowing as well, and did before my trip and somehow he never got around to it while I was gone. I sooooo need tools/toys with electric start or something. The pull on both the chainsaw and the mower are something that my body simply will not let me do. Darned shoulder likes to get in my way.
I honestly LIKE working in the yard, cutting the grass, and so forth, but I absolutely hate having to get someone to start the tools for me so I can.
Looks like this will be our last day of sunshine before some sloppy weather moves in, altho, luckily, it's just going to be wet and not snow. Need to take major advantage of it while I can!
Hugs to all who need them.
