    Thursday Musing

Bumps died tonight at 10:30pm Wednesday night... I've never felt so helpless before.... Everyone turned to me to lead and I did, I spoke to the vet, got all the info going, set up the memorial. I learned something about myself tonight... I stepped up to the plate and took charge, gave directions and now sitting here alone, I feel like I didn't do enough. I know that I did my best, the vet commended me on what we did. But still.. It happened so fast....

So sorry to hear about this.  I'm sure that you did everything that could be done.

Rainy and raw here today with snow on the way this evening.  Seriously??  Already?

Sorry to hear about Bumps.  Is that a friend's dog?  Run free, Bumps.

We're supposed to cool off tonight as a cold front moves in.  I may make some chili tonight.

I've got so much work and feel I can't catch up but I say that all the time and eventually I do get caught up.  My vet is having another seminar today that I signed up for.  I really don't have time to go as it's during the day but she's so enthusiastic about these seminars, I hate to be a no show.

I must have fallen asleep with my glasses on last night.  Usually DH will notice when I do that and take them off and put them on my bedside table but he didn't notice when he came to bed.  We spent ten minutes searching through the covers and on the floor this morning.  Finally found them behind the headboard.  I'm so blind without them, I was basically looking by feel.  I'm glad they didn't get broken.

Still no thoughts here.  Maybe the Dove dark chocolate will get my brain going.

Shoot.  Should have stopped by Tina's and spent some quality time in the kitchen.  She's always got the good stuff for breakfast.

    Uh oh!

Jan - to answer your question from yesterday.  Riley LOVES school.  Seriously, she loves it.  She hasn't cried once and or even shown any apprehension to going.

She goes 5 days a week for 1/2 days (afternoons).  Most 4 year old preschools go 3 1/2 days a week (that's what she would have gone) but since its a special needs program they go 5 days.  They told me it helps create a more of a routine for the kids since some are autistic and they need the structure of the everyday.  Plus she gets speech therapy 3x a week, occupational therapy 2x and physical therapy 2x so I think they need that many days to get in all of that plus regular preschool stuff.

Not much going on here.  I desparately needed to go to Wally world and taking Riley there can be such a pain.  I ended up going this morning at 5:00 AM (they have the 24 hour superwally's here) and it was wonderful!!!  Got everything done in 30 minutes and still at work by 6:30!

That's how it is here too Lisa, I am so glad she's enjoying herself. Enjoy these years because later on it gets a lot more like work for both kiddo AND parent LOL! Don't forget to really really treasure it!

Kitty I am sorry about Bumps.

as I posted on FB...Winter is coming. Today it's Fall-esque outside. I can almost hear Winnie The Pooh saying "It is a particularly blustery day to-day...don't you agree Piglet?" Love it. Supposed to be all of 51 today!

Good thoughts to all that need them!

I tossed and turned all last night dreaming about work. Hate it when that happens.

Ah, not really.  Last 3 days have been a banana for breakfast.  Today was my naughty breakfast day.

Stupid work email is down due to the cable company that now wants more money for us to use our own email server domain.  I really neeeeeed my email.  And I really hate Charter.
