iTunes is quickly becoming the bane of my existence.  And sucking up hours of my evening that should be spent doing something that doesn't make me want to inflict violence upon inanimate objects....

Anywho, I start a different job Saturday.  It's 7 days a week work so it makes me VERY happy!  You know Christmas is coming fast when it's time to cut and ship xmas trees!!!  I worked at the same place last year and was eating over 5000 calories daily and still managed to lose 10 pounds in a month.  This year I'm gonna take advantage of the exercise and eat properly.  Hopefully if I can stick to the eating plan I'll have zero fat on me in a couple months!!!    LOL.....it's a darn good dream me thinks.  Oh....and I'll get a few dollar raise from last year!!!   EEEEEEeeeeEEEE

These cooler mornings make me want something more substantial for breakfast too. I tend to eat the same thing for long period of time and then never want to see it again. I'm starting to feel that way about oatmeal

My new boss is here today and my former boss is stopping by and we're all going out to lunch. I plan to indulge myself in a big way.

Poor DH hasn't slept well all week and was up in the middle of the night again last night. I know he's still upset about the engineer's test and not getting a full night's sleep just seems to compound things. He works today and tomorrow and I hope that'll help some.

We haven't heard anything on the appeal yet but no one has given any reason to feel hopeful. It's always hard to tell how he really does on a test because he's so hard on himself. He was more pleased with how he did on the written test than how he did on the practical. It was timed and sounded stressful plus it was outside on a hot day. He said he was really nervous and flustered. From what he described, it sounded like everyone had a hard time though. We may never actually know how he did, and that stinks.

I'm so glad Riley loves school! I agree about the regular schedule thing. Going Tues, Thurs and every other Friday is tough for my nephew.

Good luck to Mr. Cathy. I think it's ridiculous that all the stress is from one little check box. You think the test-givers would have half a brain and realize that one tiny technical error is not that big of a deal.

Nothing too exciting in my world today. The kids had a Halloween party at school and had fun. Willa was Spiderman and Sonja was Elmo. Tomorrow is a "Not so spooky Halloween trail" at the YMCA that we'll go to, then on Saturday afternoon the downtown businesses have trick-or-treating, plus trick-or-treating on Monday. I ... oops... I mean the kids should get a decent haul.

I got my hair highlighted a couple of months ago. I debated and debated on whether or not I should go back in and have more brown added in. It was just way too light, and really uneven. I felt a bit like Cruella DeVille. So last night I dyed it back, but darker. The color was dark brown-black. I love it! I wish it were my natural color. 

I managed not to say anything I'd regret this morning but it was close.  I was so mad earlier I was shaking.  There is nothing that makes me madder than having our integrity questioned by someone who doesn't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground.  For two cents I would have cancelled this contract but that would have been foolish as this person won't last long in his position based on what I've observed so far.

I haven't kept up on what's going on with everyone and hope all is ok.  I need to stay busy to keep my mind from going on and on about this fool we're dealing with.  It's a good thing I don't have high blood pressure.

We may have found our new tech.  Waiting for a few of his references to get back to us. 

Not sure if I'll make it to the vet seminar that starts in 20 minutes.  Waiting for my relief to get back in the office and he's notoriously late to everything.

I want to go trick or treating!  I'm fairly small, I haven't changed in height since 7th grade, so I could totally do it :)  But, I won't.  Although next year Munchkin is definitely going, and I get to steal all the candy!

Awww the perks of motherhood...lol!

Super chilly here this morning. Weather bug said 39 but the car temp said 49 and I think the car was right.  Did anyone in central or NoCA feel that earthquake last night? I was still up when they broke in to announce it and apparently they felt it in Sacramento, but I didn't feel a thing.  Bummer.  I've always kind of liked earthquakes.

I have this dilemma ... if I buy Halloween candy now, there most likely won't  be any left on Monday, but if I wait until Monday to buy it there won't be any left in the store. Maybe I should just go buy double.

Joyce, we busted into our candy a couple of weeks ago. It was one day after lunch, and we were all out of sweet stuff in the house. I asked DH if it was too early to break it out, and he said, "Nope. They make more every day." lol! So the Kit Kats (or Kitty Kats as Willa calls them) and Reese's peanut butter cups are already gone. We don't get kids out here anyway, we just... celebrate the holiday. Yeah, that's it.
