Tuesday MC

I had to take a couple of mental health days last week - this place is just crazy.  I was off for two days and yesterday was a holiday - but it looks like I haven't been here in 6 weeks  . . .sheesh  . . . . better get to it.

I am in the same boat as you all are....drowning! Cant talk, too much to do! Have a great week!

I did not have yesterday off... so although I didn't really enjoy my Monday, my Tuesday is not swamped either. 

SIL is getting married this weekend.... I will be so glad when the drama is over.  Her and her GF's priorities when it comes to finances are not at all similar to ours, and have resulted in them complaining about the cost of this wedding since they began planning it.  The $17 Ebay rings.  The dinner for 12 people. Not inviting certain family members so that they can whine to the parents and have the parents kick in money just so that grandma/aunt/etc can actually come. They are of course entitled to spend their money how they wish, but I swear they just want attention and other people to pay for everything.  SIL is 4.5 yrs older than DH and both her and GF have reasonably good jobs and work a ton of overtime.  But apparently due to the wedding costs cannot afford to even eat anything more than ramen noodles.  Maybe they smoke a few too many plants....

trying to recover from a busy weekend. So glad we don't do them often!

Friday we plucked the kids outta school early and did the State Fair...5 hours of fried food binging and walking lol! Then Saturday we woke up and drove to Oklahoma to visit the inlaws...more food...and some stress. Sunday we saw the other set of inlaws and then did the 3 hours drive home.

Monday we woke up and had a doc appt for Elias since hubs had the day off, then decided to try and make the Rangers playoff game...which we did. So it was go go GO all weekend! I don't see how some families do it every weekend with a ton of stuff. It plumb wore me out to a frazzle~

Didn't have yesterday off, but it wasn't a bad day.  Went to the dr. last night for a cellulitis check and he ramped it up to a stronger antibiotic to finish kicking it the heck outa there.

BEST -- he handed me two courses of it in SAMPLES.  Near as I can figger it would have been about $140 *after* insurance, so it was an incredible gift.  I really like this guy (even before this).  He thinks out of the box a bit & is helpful.

 Nicole - family drama like that is such a pain, particularly when you know their decisions aren't wise nor 'nice'. 

They turn the heat on in our building on October 1st.  Doesn't matter that it's 75 degrees today, the heat stays on.  I'm dying here !!

I'm running late today on several fronts.  We should be slowing down at work but that isn't happening as fast as I'd like.  I made home made fruit salad this morning and ate too much for breakfast. lol  Thanks for the anniversary wishes. :)We've been married for 36 years.  How did that happen? lol

Lol, same thing here yesterday....2 girls "we are so cold"...grrrr I was dyin' turned the air back on and told them to get a blanket, lol

Yeah, my AC was running all weekend too.  Then you come to work and the idiots have the heat on.

 I worked in a Victorian building when I was in the UK and I was first in.  The heat would run all night and there was no 'thermostat' so it was insanely hot, like an oven.  I would go up to my office and our area and open every window possible.  people used to get flushed and look like they'd pass out but it was either on or off. Ugh I feel nauseated just recalling how hot and dry that place was.

raining here - of course had to take Bugsy for a walk - I mean what might happen if he didn't survey the neighborhood?  Anyway he was soaking wet and walking along oblivious to the downpour and then a few drops from someone's sprinkler landed on his butt. He flipped out like OMG I got wet and had to shake a million times.  Um Bugs we are both soaking wet and how do the drops from a sprinkler feel different than the sheets of water coming from the sky?

Either lots of compromise on both sides or plenty of vodka.
