We've been married for 36 years.  How did that happen? lol

Either lots of compromise on both sides or plenty of vodka.  Stick out tongue

I think it was your cooking, Stick out tongueWink

Happy Anniversary Jackie!! 36 years is something to be very proud of.

Since no one does my job when I'm off, it's going to take a few days to get unburied.

It looks gloomy again this morning but I think it's supposed to get sunnier. They said we got over an inch of rain yesterday. Not bad considering it was only supposed to sprinkle a little.

A little bit of cooking; a little bit of drinking...lots of laughter...lots of compromise.  Little bit of 2x4ing.  This makes for a delightful recipe for 36 years!  Happy anniversary!

Happy Anniversary to Jackie & Mr Jackie.  How is he these days, Jackie?  (I know, random out of the blue, but I'm kicking myself because after all that effort to support you guys when he was so sick, I am blanking on his name!)

Anyway, nothing to say here.  I'm spending all week training people and I'm a little tired of it.  Glad to get a break for someone else to do some for a little while.  Talking constantly for 8 hours a day 5 days a week is a PITA.

Charles is doing great, Paige. :)  Thanks for asking. He has some memory fails from time to time, but at our age, it's impossible to know if it's related to the brain aneurysm or not.  I was so paranoid for the longest time about things he doesn't remember but I've just quit worrying about it. Basically, he's totally the same guy he was before it happened.  He is mellower about lots of things and I think that's due to his close call with death.  I will never forget the support from so many of you guys.  That all seems like a bad dream(the aneurysm, not you guys' support, lol) .  I have a friend whose husband was going through some really tough medical issues recently and she asked me how I did it.  I told her you just do it and pray and lean on your friends (like I did with all of you) and take it a day at a time.

We went and ordered our new android phones at lunch.  OMG.  What were we thinking? lol

Happy 36 years! What an accomplishment on both parts!!

Heading out of this place in 10 minutes. I am sneaking out of work an hour early today so I can make it to the gym *and* the mall (to get Bourbon chicken for dinner). I have been craving it since Saturday without the chance of getting it, so I am making sure I workout extra hard today at the gym to feel less worse about enjoying my meal Smile

Happy Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Jackie!! Party!!!

    Happy anni jackie!

I feel like i only have half a brain today. I hate that feeling. I needed to be sharp today too but i just couldnt get there. Too much fog going on. Probably didnt help that i skipped the coffee this a.m. and had to drive 2 hrs first thing.

So i am debating about my bday this year. Its coming up and the family is asking what i want to do. I personally hate bdays and wish we could just ignore them and they would go away! So, do i tell everyone to ignore it or do i go with the flow and let them have a get together. (I find get togethers very boring unless we have an actual plan to do something besides dinner and a cake...bleh)

Isn't it YOUR birthday? vs "their" reason to party? I mean really. If you don't feel like doing anything, or doing something laid back...why would you be reticent to do/say something to the effect? I have no inkling what your family is like...but IMO any "occasion" is as big or little as the person it's centered around wants it to be. No more, no less. It's not just an excuse for all and sundry to booze and schmooze. Just me tho.

LOL @ cooking!  Is it bad that that's all I remember after reading everything?  I'm beyond mindless today.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY JACKIE AND CHARLES!!!  Big Smile

I'm leaning more and more to this way of thinking about family get togethers like the holidays, myself.

I just booked my tickets to Barcelona!  Yeah, yeah...its work...but we'll get out and about!  The folks planning the team outing are talking Segways!  Rick says that might not be such a good idea for me, considering how much of a clutz I am.  LOL!  I'll wear a helment and stay away from cliffs.  Big Smile

Julie, your birthday, YOUR day.  Pick something that YOU like to do....if dinner and cake isn't your thing, pick something you love, and if that's sitting at home with the dogs, oh well.
