Talking on Thursday

    Talking on Thursday

Morning all.  Creeping closer and closer to the weekend, thankfully!

I spoke with my boss on Tuesday about cleaning our office carpeting, and yesterdays mail brought a check for the rental machine.  I think he maybe wants to get this done and out of the way!  I update him weekly on whats going on and always end with how good everything is looking....except for the carpeting!  Guess the chorus is getting a little old!  Now to get the landlord to buy us some heavy duty mats for the common hallway.  I've managed to get a rotted awning taken down, ratty old dead electric sign boxes removed and the exterior of the building painted as well as repairs to the concrete, so I should be able to sweet talk him into the mats.  Fingers crossed.

    Off to do my thing!

    Have a great day all!

Remodel queen Glenda at your service! You go girl! I bet it looks really nice at your office.

Its Thursday...I have nothing more to say.

    Everyone, have a good day!

Twister's got a vet appointment this morning so he came to work today.  He's a very happy boy. :)   He doesn't get to come to work as often as he used to and was so excited this morning when I put his leash on and said "lets go".

I hope Twister's appointment is not for anything major.

Espresso + a Dove dark bar = breakfast of champions Smile

I am jealous you get to take your dog to work. I have always wanted to find a job where I could bring my boy along. Where do you work?

No, just his annual exam. :)

Glenda, would you mind having a little chat with my DH? Wink He doesn't do any home improvement projects unless it's absolutely necessary.

Hahaah i read that as "no just an anal exam". No coffee yet this morning, sorry.

Decisions decisions...go to brighton and ann arbor today or spend the day in the office. I havent been in the office all week for more than an hour here and there but we are running out of nice weather days and construction projects. Hmmm

We had a new 10 wk old gsd pup at training last night. Very cute and boy did he move really nice! He was a little shy at first but i busted out some of abbies chicken and he got over that fast. Cute cute cute.

Gosh the mornings are really getting dark, when do we "fall behind" an hour?

Last night I left a bunch of windows open and at 1:21 Bugsy jumped up out of his bed in our room and ran down the hallway. I thinking it could be a trip to puke or poop got up only to see him standing in the TV room (opposite end of the hall to our bedroom) looking at the window in full critter mode.  I decided I didn't want to know what it was and just hoped he didn't want to go out and chase it. I went back to bed but he never came back. Shrugs, wonder how long he stood there LOL

    Good luck Twister!

Sometimes I am reminded that we are lucky to live in this neighborhood - it is so pretty and we can access a huge lake via a walk and people are wonderfully friendly. We experienced all of that this morning and along our way Bugsy got to say hi to  6 dog buddies Big Smile

Yeah -- Karen, I think it's "that crittur time of the year" down here -- Luna has been totally convinced in the late evening that there was some form of crittur terrorist out the back about midnight.

And Sunday night David let them both out just at dusk and ***TINK*** wouldn't come in .. David went out and she had a *mouse* (I think it was a baby rat but David isn't much on identification) in her mouf!! Reluctantly she gave it to him.  He didn't see her shake it but it was dead and a bit bloodied.  The "mom" in me kicked in wanting to know how Stinkerbell got it so easy (Luna's typically the Crittur-queen) -- if it's a baby there will be others, and where the heck IS the parent and if it was slow/sick I'm still quizzical about its origins.  Now that we have an 8 foot privacy fence around the yard almost any 'crittur' has to come from the Laundry building which is NOT good news for me.  I'm not seeing any scat so .....

Tina, I like your breakfast better -- this granola bar really isn't at all exciting.

Good luck Twister with your anal exam...good thing you only have to do that annually.  Big Smile

Its definately prime critter time around here.  Heidi has put on her "I have to step up and clear the property of critters" hat. Confused  She's gruff, I'll give her that much.  I honestly don't know what she would do if she ever caught something.  I dunno, maybe after 5 years of watching the king of hunt...she might actually do something....but she's gotta catch something first. Big Smile

I gave Rick his birthday present early last night.  I couldn't wait, and really shouldn't...we need to plan.  GOING TO THE FOOTBALL GAME this Sunday.  Texans against Raiders.  We will hopefully win!

This week has gone by fast.

Brrrrrr, it's cold, rainy and windy this morning and I notice it taking a long time to get light too. I really wanted the weather to be nice for my vacation days but I'm going to make the best of it and maybe do some shopping. I'm on another mission to find some jeans that fit the way I like.

Oh, fun! I've never been to a NFL football game.

Yesterday morning there was either a pack of dogs (bear hunting?) or a pack of wild seals in the woods across the street from our house. AORT AORT AORT!

glad to hear other pooches are in full hunt mode, beastie is so bad that its difficult to walk him because he is so lost in whatever he is scenting he forgets anyone or anything else is around!

Barb hope the game is awesome!

I just called to make sure I was qualified to get the new iPhone and I am so now I have to check out the Galaxy S II in the flesh before I make a final decision.
