Good luck Twister with your anal exam...good thing you only have to do that annually.  Big Smile

ROFL!   He was highly indignant when they collected the stool sample.  He does need to have his teeth cleaned again.  We saw the new vet that I've said previously how much I like.  We just chat like old friends. :)  She's having another seminar soon about vaccinations and heartworm.  I told her to sign me up!  She's so open to discussing different options and protocols that I have a feeling that if she leaves this practice for any reason, I may follow her. :)  Not that I don't really like the other vet but this vet and I clicked.

Speaking of critter time.  Yesterday evening at dusk...there was a serenade of coyotes in the very close distance.  100s of them it sounded like.  Then another chorus south of us.  Eery and awsome sounding all at once.  There is housing construction going on and the coyotes are moving themselves around.  Kind of scary really, considering how brazen coyotes seem to be getting these days.  Could my dogs take one?  I just don't think so and don't want to find out.

Man that brings everything Gina went thru right back to the forefront doesn't it.  ugh.  I was completely creeped out at what Tink did.  I mean they ARE dogs, but she never even looks at the lizards Luna harasses constantly.  And she **really** did not want to give it up to David.  He's Mr. Trainer and when he rolls out all those gravelly-voiced Scottish rolling "r-r-r-r-rs" it tends to make ANY dog cave immediately and ... nope she had a mouf-full and really didn't want to relinquish that particular prize.

Galaxy S II in the flesh before I make a final decision.

I've decided to get this for DH for his birthday.  Unless you tell me something really awful once you get your hands on one.

Barb, so cool about the tickets to the Texans game.  Poor DH's Cowboys continue to shoot themselves in the foot.  He refuses to be disloyal though.  Thank doG for fantasy football where he's on top. lol

It's such a nice day today.  I'm going to take GabbyG, Twister and Ruger to the park at lunch.  :)

Just running thru, slammed at work.

Maverick is doing better this morning, may even be able to get out of ICU sometime today.  His Mom and Dad said to thank all of you for the prayers and vibes.  His Grandma said she could feel the presence in his room from all the prayers and love coming their way :)  You guys are awesome.

I continue to only hear great things about it - now that the 'latest, greatest' iPhone has been announced and it isn't a huge upgrade from the current one many people are being swayed to this phone.  Lots were waiting (myself included) to find out what was coming - the Samsung is more powerful and has more flexibility - worse battery life but all smartphones have limited battery life and the GSII is very good for its class. The only question for me now is which size do I prefer and do I want to learn android.  Since I have an iPad I have some familiarity with iOS

anyway enjoy the park - beautiful here too!

This brought back memories.  Rick and the great black hunter, Buddy had more than one "battle of wills" over critters.  Rick is not the head dog person here (although he is loved greatly by them).  And, if Rick would go up to him to try to get a critter out of his locked jaw...Buddy would look at him as if to say:  Dis mai kill Daddy...go get jur own.  Big Smile

Yeah Barb, I know ... it's just hard for me to visualize The Great Huntress, Tinkerbell, Scourge of the Wild standing atop a buffalo  - her latest kill ... er ... no, it's bigger than she is ... It's SUCKY PONY ... (whom she still drags everywhere) ... the "kill" is in that itty bitty pug mouf.

    Sorry -- it's just SUCH a picture.

Egawd this day is dragging by despite the mountain of work.  I think I will check out mentally now.  Don't tell my boss, m'kay?

Tina, I know just how you feel.  The park outing at lunch made me feel so good and coming back to the office felt wrong. lol

Gosh the mornings are really getting dark, when do we "fall behind" an hour?

It used to be the Saturday before Halloween, but I think "they" decided we needed more daylight, so we've been falling back later and going forward earlier, thus giving us about three more weeks of daylight savings time.

It was absolutely pouring buckets about an hour ago, and I'm finding it really hard to believe that we're actually supposed to be in the high 70s to low 80s this weekend. PG&E showed up yesterday a.m. to turn my power off so the electrician could upgrade the box, and fortunately they also remembered to come back and turn it on again. I hit Grocery Outlet, Trader Joe's and World Market earlier, so I shouldn't have to make any grocery runs for awhile. Smile

Groan!!!  SEVEN flipping hours cleaning those carpets. And, that, will a commercial cleaner. They still aren't pristine, but there is a major, noticable improvement.  I think that I'll suggest to the boss that he pick up some of those clear plastic chair mats.  One of our gals is rather large and she's wearing the heck out of the carpet under her chair.  And grinding the dirt in.

I had really hoped to be able to take a long weekend, but, that's not going to happen.  Going to have to go in tomorrow at least long enough to put the office back together.  It's pretty darned torn up from moving all the furniture to clean.  I'm afraid that's going to take a few hours.  BUT, by golly I'm not going near that place on Monday!

Rocky's duct tape boot finally fell off this morning - tried to take it off yesterday and change it, but he wasn't really having it. But I can understand why, I don't like duct tape stuck to my hair either. Now i had real supplies for a proper donk boot: newborn diaper, vet wrap, duct tape, sugardine, hoofpick. ( it was fun buying diapers and duct tape at the same time LMAO).

He was sooooo much more cooperative than previous days, also happy it's vetwrap touching hair, not duct tape. Sugardine is fun, it sticks to everything skin, jeans, etc, just like duct tape. LOL and it's really fun when you don't have a lot of experience doing this sort of thing, your legs are on fire from holding up a giant donkey back foot & your trying to handle & use all products listed above ( without said donkey getting pissed and putting his foot down). It's amazing how well a diaper conforms to a hoof, tabs are in the right place and everything!

oh ya, it started raining, so add mud to that mix!

Feeling a little overwhelmed, which I'm hoping will go away. Holding down the fort at work, have to work a weekend ( something I don't usually do, but I"m ok with it OT yay), still have all my normal chores & responsibilities at home - along with making rocky comfy with his foot situation, and now I'm dogsitting for the neighbor. Like actually staying at their house. so it just seems like alot right now.....it's not really, I don't know why I feel bogged down.

on a productive note, I finally finished up a set of rope halters and matching lead ropes for a friend. a girl one (neon pink) and  boy one ( blue), they look really cool.  Leads took forever - 8 strand round braids & 7.5' long!

I'm gonna miss my bug, it's been almost 2 weeks since she's been sleeping out of her crate, and I just love waking up to her stinky face. Tomorrow I get to wake up to two scottie dog faces. probably equally stinky & cute.
