    Thursday chat

Morning all.  Looks like we are in for some nasty weather today.  And, of course, the worst is yet to come with Irene.

Went to see my doctor yesterday and the GOOD news is that I don't have cellulitus.  The reason that my left eye is so danged swollen?  A spider bite!  I had some puffiness and sort of a lavender color last week, then over the weekend it got worse, until Tuesday it literally looked like someone had driven a baseball into the eye socket.  My eyebrow was almost at my hair line....just on one side and I was really starting to look like a science experiment gone bad.  Singing....I feel pretty, oh so pretty......yeah.  The doc said it was already starting to resolve itself, and danged if he wasn't right.  As the day went on, gradually things like my smile line on the left side of my face reappeared, the eyebrow continued the journey back towards it's rightful position.......I still look like one of the composite pics with two different peoples eyes, but, I don't look quite so bizzare.  My doc was funny....he was telling me that most people wouldn't even notice.  Yeah, doc, that's why they look and then look away real quick!  I've spent a week chuckling and saying "you oughta see the other guy"!   Ya gotta be able to laugh at yourself.

Off to work.  Stay safe everyone and have a good day!

Glenda, you must be blind. I started chat 15 minutes ago.  I will delete mine, though.

    ETA:

Survived dinner with the foster parents. We avoided most of the inflammatory subjects.

Thinking of Cathy & DH, and Buffy.

Lisa, you are a great parent!

We are implementing a new way to enter some of the invoices I process and although I'm sure it'll be faster once I get a new routine down, right now it is slowing me down and frustrating me.

Barb, I love Buddy's pic in your siggy!

     Oops...adding to this thread instead!

Glorious Rain this morning. We had a good little rainstorm yesterday evening as well! Much needed releif....although we are still WAY under what we need. I am fearing that more of our trees will fall over or huge limbs falling due to the extreme dryness. It looks like Fall around here with all the dead leaves falling to the ground. Sigh.

Good thoughts to those in the path of Irene!

Thanks Tina...I love that picture too. You can see deep into his soul in those big beautful brown eyes of his. He is such a sweetheart. And, he sez: Tanks Aunties for da smooshing. I wubs ju 2 Big Smile

Thinking of you Cathy...how is Buffy doing?

I have to drive into the office after our staff meeting this morning. So, video conference from 8am to 10am...them I'm off. As much as we need the rainstorms...I do hope it stops by the time I leave...for Bruder's sake. I've introduced him to the utility bathtub...in case he wants to use it as his storm box. Smile

I'm sorry Tina.  I usually get email notification on this thread and didn't, and I didn't see one for today, but then, I am functioning with only an eye and a half.  Getting used to screwy vision tho.....

Glenda, your issue does not sound like fun, but I had to laugh at your description! Especially the science experiment part. LOL!

Barb, I think unless you bring Buddy to me for some REAL smooshes immediately, you should remove your sig pic, because I just can't. stand. how DANG CUTE he is!

Back to work for me. *sigh*

Jan, you know, you have to be able to laugh at yourself, and at your situation.  Life is full of bumps in the road and being able to laugh at the crap has kept me somewhat sane.   Yep, I know, that's debatable, but imagine how much worse I'd be without laughter!

ugh Glenda -- been there done it!  I've been bitten by brown spiders down here THREE times (twice ducking a clothes line outside - got it in the neck!) -- and those always require antibiotics so I'm glad you went to the dr. anyway!

Tina -- parental units of all sorts can be difficult.  "Guilt -- the gift that just keeps ON giving!"   Glad you survived it!

Cathy -- still lifting you and Buffy up!

Buddy -- you ARE the man!!  You can ride out ANY storm with me!!

Thinking of you guys further north & east -- we'll get some rain but nothing horrible, but that just means I can think about you and lift you up all the while!

Catch ya all later. (Sorry, been living down here 30 years and I still can't manage a passable "y'all";)

Morning all,  hugs to all those that need them cause I will not remember everything :)

We are supposed to have a cool front comng in today, yea!

Was walking down the sidewalk this morning, already had my mind on todays to do list....all the sudden I head "MOOOOOO" lol.  I looked up and the was a bull calf standing right in front of me.  I dont know how I missed seeing him.  I looked at him and said "You need to turn around and go home. "   LOL, he turned around and headed toward the lane, stopped and looked at me, I said "Go on, go home" he just turned around and went down the lane and turned left to go up the neighbors drive.  Ha!!  They never go that easily.  Usually I have to get Rocky to herd them home.  It was really funny.   Just call me the "Cow Whisperer" Stick out tongue

Jan I forgot to take hair pics last night, ooops, I will try to get that done tonight.

Hope everyone has a great day!
