Mr soft serve aka Bugsy has been on fire all morning - at one point some crows and a couple of hawks were doing air battle over the cul de sac and the idiot was out running up and down the front lawn, jumping in the air and posturing. Um yea I am sure they were impressed.

Then a feral or at least uncollared kitty decided our culvert pipe was a good place to hang out. Got down to the end of the drive and psycho dog was lit up. I did my best but he hopped off the drive into the culvert and attempted to get himself in the pipe. An almighty struggle ensued, my sliced finger split open again, and kitty nearly met its maker. Sigh, yep office kitties at the vet not going to work out for beastie.

Then it was the first day of school here so we had lots of bus stops to socialize at, walked with a shih tzu pup, met a teeny rescue pup brought home yesterday from the SPCA, met a new to the 'hood elderly dog plus saw various regulars. woohee we were both tired by the time we got home

I am worried about peeps on Long Island as I think they are going to get the full whack of this storm. The NC beaches will be reshaped and heavily damaged too. I'm going to keep hoping that the storm pushes further out to sea than it appears at this time

Lisa you are such a great mom for Riley!!

I feel confident that Cher was found to have a heart and a healthy one!

Definitely a great pic of the Bud man. Hopefully everyone in Irene's path stays safe. Thanks to her though we are having amazing weather for the rest of the week and weekend.

Riley sure taught me a lesson last evening. I took her to Target so we had to make the envitable tour through the toy department first. She usually doesn't ask for anything, just likes to look and browse and touch. She found this pretty cool playdoh cake making set. This girl is ADDICTED to PlayDoh...seriously. So I told her that is she could carry the box through the store for the whole trip then I would get it for her. Well, she sure did. When I kept my promise and took if from her to put it on the belt, she lifted one brow and said, "see, I did it!" I am already stocking up on ulcer meds for high school. I think I am in biiiig trouble.

She ended up sleeping with that stupid cake in her bed. She was sooo excited.

Budman . . . how about you, me, and Jamison hunker down for the weekend and greet Irene with this and a bag of lemons.

I started early yesterday.... thankfully, no hangover, although I can almost still taste it a little. They gave us enormous shots!!

We went out as a group last night to a beachside bar. Probably 30 SriLankans a couple of Indians, some Americans and an Italian and an Egyptian. Some drunken jackmonkey of a tool had the gall to repeatedly ask "Don't they hire Americans!?" and when I told him it was for a special project, he kept repeating "special project, sure..." Dude.... if Americans had these skills, they'd be here, but there aren't enough of them and they're off in other parts of the country/world, too. PS, my coworkers are some of the best I've ever worked with so step off! I got really really mad. Mind your own business, drunk man.

Just popping in to say....... BF popped the question!!!!! So, I guess he's no longer BF, but now... FH?? Wow!

omg - that cake is adorable!! If they'd had cool playdough stuff to make when I was a kid, I'd have loved it as much as Riley.

Zip it! - this is me from now on in regards to Buffy. I got home last night and of course, she was doing great and DH couldn't understand what I was worried about. When I told him about her throwing up strange looking stuff the night before, he said "it's the cooling blanket leaking that you saw". He'd bought this pad that you can soak in water and it stays cool for several hours plus it's cushy and Buffy loves to lay on it. Well, apparently, it has a little hole in it and that white jello stuff I saw was it leaking out. I was relieved that she hadn't thrown up and that she hadn't tried to eat it and then I just felt like a goof. So...no more chatter from me about Buffy being on her last good leg.

I have a hair appt today plus a ton of work to get done. Both of my bosses are on vacation, so all questions and concerns are coming to me this week. I considered giving myself a raise while I'm in charge but I'm sure someone would catch it later and I'd have to pay it back.
