Mindless Thursday

    Mindless Thursday

Just sitting off my time in the office. Last one here, but have to make up for leaving early most of last week.

I had so much to do in the evenings but had forgotten that my cleaning lady (that's right! :P) is on vacation, so I am wearing my last outfit. Hope my clothes will have dried today. Tough will the humidity going on right now...

Went to a seminar on Websites in China. What a waste of my time. Organization was bad (I used to do events, so when I see a low key 45 people seminar be so badly organized I get annoyed), speakers were weak and venue was noisy. They also started early, so I didnt get to do any of the networking I was supposed to do. Although that was kind of a relief. How I hate small talking with strangers about stuff I don't care about!

Also, Mc Donald's delivery for lunch is awesome.

We've got a good chance that tropical storm Don will bring some rain.  :)  I promise not to complain about muddy dogs.

Twister has been driving me a little crazy this morning.  He desperately wants me to give him the new toy he saw me put away yesterday.  It's for a friend's dog but I'm having trouble explaining that to him.  He's been whining and whimpering as he sits in front of the closet where said toy is stashed.  Never mind the fact that he has tons of toys to play with, he wants the new toy. lol

    Oh, poor Twister.

    JM, McDonald's delivers!?

We have a tapeworm situation *shudder* Luckily my vet trusts that I know what a tapeworm is and I can just call in the meds. Gag gag gag. Grosses me out so bad. I was expecting it, considering the flea situation we had last month.

I really need a running parter, I am incredibly unmotivated lately.

Supposed to be hot and humid here today.  Joy.  But, at least I did discover that we have AC in the office so that's a plus.

Not with it today.  Haven't even made it to the mindless stage yet, so......

We've been in a mini-drought this month and finally got some much needed rain during the night.

I am up to my eyeballs, so TTFN.

Good thoughts going out to all in need, esp. Cathy's friend and the Johnson family.

What's the toy?  Auntie Deb will buy him 42 of them since you're so cruel, Jackie.

LOL!  Twister says he wants me to put him in a box and send him to Auntie Deb.  Little traitor. :)

I dont think it can get anymore humid out. Miserable. I have an inspection to do this morning too. Plus the heat index is supposed to be 100. Yay.

Im back to house breaking lily again. This is a never ending chore. First i resticted her to her crate, then i felt bad because the other 2 were not crated so i let her out and just shut them all in my room. As a result she woke me up 3x to go outside and now im dead tired. Better than peeing in the house though i guess. The trouble is, she will just go back to her old habits when she can. Sigh.

I need some coffee and maybe something to eat

I think  aliens came down yesterday and left me a new dog!    This new dog **looks** like Luna but .... GASP!!!!   She PLAYED with a toy!!!!

Tink plays with toys all the time, but Luna *never* does.  And David and I both caught her with toys in her mouth **twice** last night!  LOL

Tink was incredulous.  cos .... cos .... COS ..... one of the things Luner B had her mouf on was .... Tink's NYLABONE!!! (she actually chewed on it LOL)

rotfl hysterically.  Tink didn't get snarky (she never does) but trust me -- it wasn't just David & I thinking aliens had snatched the Bagle -- You should have seen Tink's face ... it was priceless!

This all passed - dunno what kind of wild hair she got, but it was funny.

Air wasn't working in the office yesterday, but came on when I shoved down the thermostat this morning.  Then I sneezed about 18 times - I hate to think what was in those vents. LOL

LOL Twister Bugsy gets it - our house has looked like a dog toy graveyard all week and he kept going to our 'stashed toy' closet looking for a new one.

I decided to stop B's antibiotic today it is destroying his gut and enough is enough.  Poor guy was awake most of the night with the most awful gut noises.  He then woke me at 5:15 and when I told him to go back to bed he went downstairs and rang his bell to go out.  So he went out and ate any and all grass he could find (due to heat and drought there isn't much luscious green out there). I gave him Gas-X and hoped he'd settle down.  Nope more grass eating so i took him for a short walk.  He puked all the grass up and then crapped soup (TMI apologies). He's sleeping now so i hope when he wakes he feels better.

Nothing else to say - same weather pattern 100+* for the next three days.

    Lots of work to do

Bathroom reno not active until after lunch today (yippee!!) so far it seems to be going OK - but what do I know LOL

Poor Twister! How could your mama be so mean??

Karen, I would be very wary about stopping antibiotics early. If he's not as healed as he seems, the critters that are left can be strengthened by the shorter course of antibiotics (like a vaccine, for bacteria) and then things can get nasty pretty quick. I know you probably know this, but just in case. Sorry his tummy is not cooperating :( Between that and the renovations and the stress of last week - I think you deserve a trip to the Tiki Bar!

I agree, especially since his incision isn't closed up yet.  I know you didn't ask for advice but if it were my dog, I'd call the vet and see about switching antibiotics to something that isn't so hard on his gut.  I do know you'll not take any chances with our Bugsy, er, your Bugsy. lol

Poor little Twister, I mean really if your mommy has to buy toys for other dogs she should buy you one too, right? :)

Hope everyone has a good day, I am praying for all of you in Texas to get some well deserved rain.

Hoping the Johnson's have made it safely to their destination and are settling in.

See ya later...lots of work today.

Poor Bugs. Would yogurt help? Can you give dogs acidophilus? (sp) It really helped me when I was on megasuper antibiotics for mastitis.

yep...common mistake. Keep him on it..then make an appt to change to another one, or alter his diet or give him meds for the stomach...but seriously. It's how super bugs are made, people stopping before they should. Then the NEXT time you have an infection? twice as hard to stop it.
