    Finally frivolous Friday!!

And may the tiki bars open EARLY!!

Gray, gloomy and rainy here yet again.  I noticed yesterday that some of my tomato plants need caging, so will try to do that late this afternoon between the downpours.  Going in to the office to get another round of collection letters out, and maybe work a couple more units in my continuing ed plan.  I discovered that my new stuff had been added to my learning plan yesterday and I was like a kid in a candy shop!  I'd love to be able to access that stuff from home, but for some reason, can't and I don't feel like spending a half hour on the phone with IT.  And, this keeps me from spending all day and weekend with my head stuck in a "book", so.......

Off to work....have a great day everyone.  Will be back for the tiki bar later!

Glenda, I have had success caging the tomatoes when I plant them, instead of trying to do it when they're already growing and bending.  I found it saves breaking a lot of the branches.  The plants seem to grow right up through them.

My neighbor made us brownies as a thanks for removing the feral cats from her shed.  I had a nice fat brownie and espresso for breakfast.  Will be ready for the tiki bar by 2:00 - ish.

Tina -- it is SO nice to be appreciated ... particularly with chocolate!! *smile*

Glenda -- I honestly almost never notice *what* the weather is cos it's nice and climate-controlled in here *grin*.  David and I got enough sun and heat last weekend in two hours at Universal for both of us for oh .. ages LOL

I've got a mountain of work in front of me -- just the stack to work on "now" obliterates the bottom of the monitor -- guess I need to get busy!

Yum, a brownie for breakfast sounds so good!  I have a muffin lately but I ate the last one yesterday so today it is yogurt burst cheerios.

I went to the Dr yesterday.  She stripped my membranes and we set me up to be induced on Tuesday if I don't have this baby before then.  I am so excited to meet our little guy!  Any safe delivery vibes anyone wants to send would be much appreciated.  The cord was wrapped around D's neck when she was born and I had a pretty tramatic delivery and 4th degree laceration with D as well as an epidural that didn't work properly so I am a little nervous, but ultimately, when she gave me the choice, I picked going through labor and pushing over a c-section.  I would rather have 24 hours of intense pain rather than weeks of recovering.  All I really care about in the end is that Cooper is born safely and there are no complications for either of us.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!  I plan to pack as much fun as possible in with my sweet little girl while she is my only baby!

I've got a bunch of chasing and scathing emails to write today.  Boo hiss I am no good at that

thats all - oh Glenda I am happy that it is overcast and gloomy here at the moment.  It means 95*+ will have to wait until later for now its just sticky and 80 ish

Sarah, safe & easy delivery vibes to you.  From what you describe, you deserve to have your 2nd experience to go smoothly.

Sarah, sending you tons of good vibes for the upcoming arrival of baby Cooper. :)  Have a great, great weekend with your little ladybug.

We've had milder temps here since the rain but they are creeping back up toward the 100's. Yesterday it only got to 94, which seemed pleasant. lol  DH is playing golf today and they tee off at noon. Surprise I hope he doesn't have a heat stroke.  I'm sure he'll forget to put sunscreen on the back of his neck.  I totally forgot he had this tournament to play in today and that messes up some other plans we had for this evening.  I'm usually not the ones who forgets this sort of thing but I sure forgot this time.

Dogzilla!  Love Bugsy's new nickname.  I can help you with the emails since my mood is decidely not very cheerful and friendly today.. Angry

Save me a seat at the tiki bar :)

Sounds delightful! I am craving brownies the last few days...

Sara, safe and quick delivery vibes for you!

I've started a new drug for my back pain and it's making me feel dizzy and tired this morning. I sure hope I get used to it but most of all I hope it WORKS! I go for a bone scan on Tuesday to see if they can pinpoint the pain in my back. I go for a dye injection in the AM and then the scan at 1pm.  bleh... DH works all weekend and it's supposed to be a beautiful weekend, so I'm trying to decide what to do with myself....

Wishing safe, smooth delivery vibes for Sarah & baby Cooper!

Got up to leave the house at 5:45 to meet a friend at 6am for a show up in Maine.  We're all soaking wet and tired, but another leg of RAE is complete.  She got a score of 100, but was 4 seconds slower, thus 2nd place.  Tougher to be in an open pulling arena where the back half is open to the race track where horses hauling surreys were going by, doing practice.  Gracie HATES horses.  The ring was literally 25' from the edge of the horse track.  Her second run in Adv, she screwed up on a call front b/c she was tired/distracted/disinterested.  So I re-did it for another 3 points off when she did it wrong AGAIN.  I should have just taken the 3pts and ended w/a 96 rather than the 93.  Oh well, it earned 1st place by time, too. lol

Now I'm back to keep car shopping.... I am so sick to death of car shopping.

How exciting Sara!  Safe, smooth and QUICK labor vibes coming your way, as well as minimal discomfort on pushing........

Tina, I usuallly do the same thing with mine...but, this year, decided to just make some 3' high chicken wire cages since I have a ton of it left over.....so this way there won't be any forcing the plant into the cage, I'll just wrap around and close.  And, I guess the Tiki bar needs to wait a bit since I should get that done now, before the rain starts up again....

Callie?  I absolutely HATE artifically controlled environments.  I really dislike the not being able to open the windows part of winter.....AC?  Necessary evil most of the time, and I don't have any here, nor do I particularly want it......

Good luck Sarah! Woo hoo! I'm excited to see the little guy. And if, for whatever reason, you do have to have a c-section, they're actually not that bad. I was doing laundry (carrying full baskets up and down stairs) within a week. Embarrassed My sister's third baby flipped (breech) during labor and she ended up having to do an emergency c-section.

Good luck with your scan, Leslie.

I'm totally ready for the tiki bar. Who wants to watch the kids for me? Stick out tongue
