I dont think im going to be home the entire month of august: DC, atlanta, the UP again. Oy. I really need to find a good cheap dog sitter asap! Also could i visit the south at a hotter more humid time?

I guess Joyce because you are nearer the coast 101 isn't as miserable as it was in the center of the Central Valley (Merced). No humidity or not, that just about killed me!

Glenda I'm not anywhere near the coast. Merced is in the San Joaquin Valley, and Davis is just one valley north of that, in the Central Sacramento Valley. The weather should be pretty much the same in both places except that we get the delta breeze from the San Francisco Bay so our nights usually cool down pleasantly. It is pretty oppressive, but when the *bad* heat only lasts for two or three days at a time it's manageable. You know what wimps we are out here. We think it should be a balmy 72 all year long.

Oh, man, that's no good. That really sucks, I'm sorry something bad has happened that could have been prevented.

I really love my new job, and love who I work for and work with. While I am learning great job skills, I'm still doing more than the $X/hr they're paying me. This car-shopping vs rent scenario really has me looking at how to ask my boss for the $$ I need. I don't think I'm asking for much but I don't know if I can ask for it yet. Ugh, more decisions!

Meanwhile, I think my poison ivy is continuing to show up in new places! Just how many days can this go on that it keeps spreading? I saw the first sign of it last Weds/Thurs and now I've got new spots showing up near my old spots today/yesterday! What the heck is that all about??
