Dreary Tuesday chat

It is always a pleasure to come to work when the co-worker starts the day with a very pissy "good morning, it looks like we are alone today" as if she is put out by the fact that our male co-workers are using a vacation day to play in a charity golf scramble.  I already knew this yesterday afternoon and it's not a big deal.  I do the same work whether anyone is here or not. 

Life isn't that bad - all the Debbie Downers need to take time to smell the roses instead of the poop.

Only four days until VACATION !!!!!

Of course I have a ton to do.  It will all get done, and if it doesn't.....oh, well 

Nothing dreary around here today.   

Mindy, hope you get the important things done before you leave and mostly I hope you have a great time.  :)  

Cita, we recently gave our propane grill away and got a charcoal grill.  I love grilling on charcoal but hated using lighter fluid.  We got a chimney starter and that's the best money we've ever spent.  The coals light easily, no lighter fluid required and in twenty minutes we're ready to get our grill on. :)  We got a cheapie one because DH wasn't a believer. lol  I, on the other hand, knew Alton Brown wouldn't steer me wrong. 

Tina -- didja ask her if you get to claim workers comp if you trip over HER chin on the floor?  It won't change your day but it might give you peace and quiet for a few minutes until she figgers it out??   ((If not it doesn't appear anyone is using the 2X4 currently and you are welcome to it!!))

Florida is, I think, trying to suck up all the heat so everbuddy else gets a break.  When David and I were outside last night at 9:00 it was **still** ninety-three.  Egads - it's only June!

 Jackie, those chimney starters rock! I never use lighter fluid, no matter what I can always seem to taste it in the food.

My amusement of the day/week is my soon to be former employers realizing it's taking 4 people to take over what I did all by myself. It'll be so nice to be working just a 40 hour week (with occasionally overtime as needed, but not expected that I work minimum 50 hours every week like I have been for these last two years!)

My team has a major deadline this week, so I'm flying in for a wave hello. Maybe the afternoon will be slower, but this morning is turning out to be full of work!  Have a great day, all!!

HQ is driving me crazy today.

Tina, today it is a beautiful day here, my local bakery had individually sized strawberry rhubarb pies this morning (=breakfast AND lunch!), I might have found a horse to part-lease locally (fingers crossed), and I practically skipped into the office today. It's a beautiful morning! Cheer, cheer! Grumpy coworker be darned!

I had to call the wildlife commission this morning because two fox just sat and looked at us from about 10 yds.  Us being a friend and her 9 mo old lab and me and the insane 'I'm going to rip you to shreds' beast.  Certainly they were clear on beastie's intent, yet they just sat there. sigh. Beastie also discovered the fresh killed possum they were likely on their way to collect. The wildlife commission confirmed my thought that they must be getting fed by humans.  Humans are idiots.  We all know this is going to end badly for the fox when they start raiding garbage and are found on people's decks etc.  I posted the info from the wildlife commission on the yahoo board for our neighborhood, I sure hope the idiots that are feeding them stop.

Other than that my morning is getting busier and busier and I'm feeling a bit harried LOL So I better put my full attention to the important stuff

 Callie, you are more than welcome to take some of our heat too!  And will someone please share some rain?

 ????? dont know what a chimney starter is I dont guess :)  We use Charcoal and wood, mmmm yummy!  My hubby is the grill master so that is one time I dont have to do anything but eat!

Tina was browsing thru yesterdays chat to check on everyone, had to really laugh out loud when I read the comment on Weiner...You cant fix stupid!  Thanks for starting my day with a big laugh

Got a message from our Granddaughter again last night.  She is well, she is in Iraq, she is working 14 hour days right now.  Once again I thank all of you for your prayers and vibes.  She may get to come home on leave in July, that is still in the works.

Still no A/C at the house, (cept for the bedroom) but the parts are in so I have been told.  Hope they get it fixed this week. 

Cant remember everything else so hugs and good vibes to all. These phones keep ringing dont they know I am busy

Well it's probably a darn good thing I don't own a gun!  Nuf on that.

I've got good news and bad news.  GOOD NEWS IS...although I didn't get the previous job I was hoping for due reasons that severely PISS ME OFF, I think I just may have found another full time job!!!  The whole part time thing isn't working for me lately.  There's so many people without jobs around here it makes things extremely difficult when so many are applying for the same jobs.  It isn't guaranteed yet but I'm fairly confident it'll be mine.  I'll know Thursday. 

Good thoughts or vibes may be needed.

BAD NEWS is that Tessy won't be able to get her next round of chemo treatments!  (due thursday)    Between the cost of the drugs and the cost of the vet appointment I just can't do it.  I would if I could but just can't.  I'm flat out broke!  BROKE!!!  This is really stressing me out. 

Anyhow, that's my 2 cents for now.
