    Good luck, Flem!

    Thalie

I managed to feed Spip without Flem noticing by sending her by herself in the yard for morning pee but by now, she is awaiting breakfast eagerly and not happy it is not coming. She went to smell Spip's mouth and looked at me with quite a puzzle face.Between sighing and staring at my face, she clearly shows her displeasure at this unfair practive.

That made me giggle. Poor sweetie can't be fooled.

    Any news yet???

Thank you so very much to all of you for your crossed everything, good thoughts, and vibes. I got a call around noon (but was at work so could not post) that the surgery was over, Flem was awake, and everything went fine. That is one worry out of the way.

The side lipoma is verified and out, no need to send it in; she has three stitches at the site so it should be a small incision. We can resume walking day after tomorrow. She's never had stiches before (spay was done with laser and closed with surgical glue if I remember correctly) so I don't know how she'll react but I have two different kinds of cones just in case.

The mouth bump is out, the vet lasered out all around the removal site, and was able to save the molar it encroched on. I can go pick Flem up in about an hour; she'll come home with pain meds and will be on soft food (and no chewies or toys in mouth, oy veh !) for 5 days. We'll have the stitches removed in about 10 days and we should have the biopsy results by then.

The vet said she'll be a bit slow today (but can eat tonight if she feels like it, yay !) and I will keep up with the meds to make sure she is not in pain and does not overdo it. I'll sleep downstairs with her tonight and then we'll take turns if needed.

You cannot know how much your support is appreciated.

Sorry I was late seeing this. I'm glad she's done with the surgery. I'll be sending no cancer vibes your way; give her some hugs for me.

I'm so glad the surgery went well.  Continued good vibes.

Best wishes for a good,non-cancerous biopsy.

    She is home !!!

The incision is longer than I expected (I probably misunderstood something on the phone about the stitches) but looks good. I have not had a chance to peek in her mouth yet. She peed in the yard, drank a little, ate a few soaked soft kibble and slept. Spip inspected her several times and keeps an eye on her but leaves her be. The vet put an inverted soft cone on her (never seen one like that in the stores) and I hope it does the trick because it looks way more comfortable than what we have.

Couple of pics of my drugged up Monstress (links because they are semi-graphic and not everybody wants to see that):

    Sleepy Flem

    No clicky, plz

I'm so glad to hear the surgery went well. That last picture is heart wrenching! I'm hoping for good results on the growth they removed.
