It's been a good while since I posted here. Sorry for the disappearance.
One of my monstresses, Flem, is going for surgery tomorrow morning. I found a growth in her mouth, waited a while to see if it would subside. It did not so off to the vet we went. The growth needs to come out. It will be sent to an oncologist for analysis. It might be benign it might be limited cancer, it might be the kind of cancer that spreads out. She will salso have a lipoma (aspirated twice, two different vet clinics, not suspicious at this point) taken out from her side at the same time. We'll have the results of the biopsies about a week after the surgery.
I know this is the right thing to do because we need to know what's going on. At this point, there is nothing to cry about, no dire diagnostic has been made but ... I look at my girl, see her in apparent perfect health and know that she will be in pain for a while due to the operation. We are more worried about the mouth growth than about the side lump.
If you can spare a thought for my girl I would appreciate it.
This is Flem; she is only 7. She is the sidekick of our other monstress (Spip), she is an amazing lizzard hunter, a wonderful snugglebutt, a loving and mischievious dog. We love her to pieces.
