In need of crossed paws and fingers

It's been a good while since I posted here. Sorry for the disappearance.

One of my monstresses, Flem, is going for surgery tomorrow morning. I found a growth in her mouth, waited a while to see if it would subside. It did not so off to the vet we went. The growth needs to come out. It will be sent to an oncologist for analysis. It might be benign it might be limited cancer, it might be the kind of cancer that spreads out. She will salso have a lipoma (aspirated twice, two different vet clinics, not suspicious at this point) taken out from her side at the same time. We'll have the results of the biopsies about a week after the surgery.

I know this is the right thing to do because we need to know what's going on. At this point, there is nothing to cry about, no dire diagnostic has been made but ... I look at my girl, see her in apparent perfect health and know that she will be in pain for a while due to the operation. We are more worried about the mouth growth than about the side lump.

If you can spare a thought for my girl I would appreciate it.

This is Flem; she is only 7. She is the sidekick of our other monstress (Spip), she is an amazing lizzard hunter, a wonderful snugglebutt, a loving and mischievious dog. We love her to pieces.

Thanks everybody. The surgery and R&R make me a bit nervous but of course it is the possible results that twist my stomach.

I managed to feed Spip without Flem noticing by sending her by herself in the yard for morning pee but by now, she is awaiting breakfast eagerly and not happy it is not coming. She went to smell Spip's mouth and looked at me with quite a puzzle face.Between sighing and staring at my face, she clearly shows her displeasure at this unfair practive.

We'll load her up in a bit and I'll update when she is back home later today.

Mine hate the dreaded "Nope - you can't eat yet, cos you gotta go to Dr. __'s!!  They'll feed you later!" -- and you get the stink eye look of "LATER??? What's wrong wif NOW??"

Flem has a blue sticky up on my printer for great surgery and super favorable results.

and btw, Thalie -- I've missed you AND the Monstresses!!!
