Family disagreement over puppy

Oops, guess I didn't do the quote thing right - but you get what I mean - I was referring to the people who lose one pet and just go out and buy another one and abuse that one, too.

Ashland, go ahead and call and get the puppy out of there. The crap about it being family and keep your nose out of it is from the "good old days" when they said the same about spousal and child abuse. If you're family is messing up, you don't have to agree with their way of thinking. "It's family" is no excuse for abuse and the BF has already shown that he has no idea of how to handle a pet.

The way I was raised, if you can't handle something properly then you can't have it at all. Just because the BF is old enough to "help" her raise kids doesn't mean he is mature. Just because he may have had enough money and age to buy a puppy doesn't mean he's man enough to handle the responsibility.

Good luck with whatever you do.
