TGIF baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's something odd going on here today. Some weird sensation coming from outside. I can't quite figure it out... Could it be... heat?! It's almost spring-like. Strange!

I went to Trader Joe's and World Market this morning to replenish my supply of Two Buck Chuck and chocolate wine ... then I remembered the world is supposed to end tomorrow.  Maybe I should drink it all this afternoon so it won't go to waste. I did see a greeting card at Trader Joe's that made me chuckle.  It said "If we are what we eat, how come we're not new and improved, fat free and lite?"  Good question.

We had fireworks last night!  "Celebrate Davis" - 3rd. Thursday in May. The weather was gorgeous and it  wasn't super crowded like on the 4th. of July. I was surprised to see so many dogs there, but I guess if they're not reactive to loud noises, why not? I left Max at home because I figured he'd just be bored out of his little doggy mind. It wouldn't bother him if the fireworks were going off in the living room.

Happy birthday early Ginger  and happy anniversary Glenda . DH's BD is Monday and my childhood BFF's BD is Wed. DH pretty much said there wasn't anything he needs or wants (because if there was, he'd already have bought it ) so I'll make him a cake and give him a card. We're celebrating with his family the following weekend.

Karen - I hope you have the bestest vacation ever!!

Tina - Good luck at the dentist this afternoon. It's no fun but it beats dealing with the pain all weekend. I hope there's an easy fix to the problem.

I had a bunch of staff in the office this morning and didn't get much done. I always look forward to winding down on Friday afternoons and yet, that never seems to happen *sigh*

I went to my storage unit tonight to put some winter clothes/gear away.  Everything in there is damp from this wet humidity crap going on.  All I can think about are the comic books from the 1940's that are in there.  Like I didn't have enough on my mind than to worry about that of all things.

Meanwhile, Gracie and I are competing tomorrow in our first non-Regular class.  I haven't worked her Obed in 2+ months.  Hope she can brush up quickly in the morning. lol  It's an outdoor event (ooh, lucky us, working in the mist/rain.... ugh)  I am soooo not impressed by all this wet weather.  My waterproof boots had a blow-out, but luckily Iwent "shopping" thru my storage unit tonight and found a pair of all-terrain trainers that should be waterproof enough.
